Java idiomatic client for Cloud Profiler.
If you are using Maven, add this to your pom.xml file:
<dependency>
<groupId>com.google.cloud</groupId>
<artifactId>google-cloud-profiler</artifactId>
<version>0.1.2</version>
</dependency>
If you are using Gradle without BOM, add this to your dependencies
compile 'com.google.cloud:google-cloud-profiler:0.1.2'
If you are using SBT, add this to your dependencies
libraryDependencies += "com.google.cloud" % "google-cloud-profiler" % "0.1.2"
See the Authentication section in the base directory's README.
You will need a Google Cloud Platform Console project with the Cloud Profiler API enabled.
You will need to enable billing to use Google Cloud Profiler.
Follow these instructions to get your project set up. You will also need to set up the local development environment by
installing the Google Cloud SDK and running the following commands in command line:
gcloud auth login
and gcloud config set project [YOUR PROJECT ID]
.
You'll need to obtain the google-cloud-profiler
library. See the Quickstart section
to add google-cloud-profiler
as a dependency in your code.
Cloud Profiler is a statistical, low-overhead profiler that continuously gathers CPU usage and memory-allocation information from your production applications. It attributes that information to the application's source code, helping you identify the parts of the application consuming the most resources, and otherwise illuminating the performance characteristics of the code.
See the Cloud Profiler client library docs to learn how to use this Cloud Profiler Client Library.
To get help, follow the instructions in the shared Troubleshooting document.
Cloud Profiler uses gRPC for the transport layer.
Java 7 or above is required for using this client.
This library follows Semantic Versioning.
Contributions to this library are always welcome and highly encouraged.
