The Apple Watch SE (2nd Gen)—our top fitness tracker for 2024—might be the most baseline model, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t loaded with tech specs. The model features GPS connectivity (though the cellular model is also on sale) so you can track runs, walks, and cycling. Plus, you’ll get a deep dive into your activity tracking, beyond just calories burned. The SE (2nd Gen) also features zone training insights based on your heart rate throughout workouts. Plus, the up-to-18-hour battery life has you covered for both long and short runs.
If you’re looking for the latest and greatest gadget, the Series 9 is the most recently released model on sale. Loaded with features like a blood oxygen monitor, cycle tracking, an ECG, a temperature sensor, and Double Tap, the smartwatch keeps you fully connected and engaged. An overall brighter screen display, plus all of the baseline features, round out the fitness tracker to be a top choice if you're into the newest tech specs.
If cellular connectivity is a must-have on your list, the Series 8 has the steepest price cut on a GPS and cellular model. You'll get almost the same specs as the Series 9, minus a few. It doesn't feature Double Tap or the ultra-bright screen, but you’ll still have a temperature sensor, blood oxygen monitor, ECG, and cycle tracking capability. It’s $170 off, which is the lowest price we've seen for this watch in a year.
