The next step in making custom 3D-printed saddles more accessible, Czech custom saddle maker Posedla reshapes their personalized Joyseat line-up with three new options. Each of the three new Joyseat saddles – Plus, Pro & Ultra – shares the same custom 3D-printed padded top, but perched atop three different sets of rails and carbon shells to hit a wider range of price points.
3 new Posedla Joyseat custom 3D-printed saddles offer more choice

Since the first 3D-printed saddles launched in 2019, we’ve been excited to see the technology employed to deliver a truly custom fit. It still took quite a while to materialize, but Posedla was really the first saddle manufacturer to deliver the promise of custom 3 years ago. But even Posedla’s more ‘low-tech’ solution to custom fit is still quite expensive. So now that they’ve dialed in their process a bit more over the past few years, Posedla is back with more options at more price points.
What’s new?

Now the custom Posedla Joyseat comes in three versions, all of which feature their same signature personalized 3D-printed TPU top.

- Joyseat Plus is the biggest departure from Posedla’s previous saddles, switching to a glass fiber reinforced nylon shell and 7mm round tubular stainless steel rails for increased strength & durability. But still a claimed saddle weight from around 220g. With that more robust construction, also comes a higher 120kg rider weight limit.

- Joyseat Pro is essentially the carry-over Joyseat 2.0 with a thin twill carbon shell bonded to 7x9mm oval UD carbon rails, a 100kg rider limit, and weight from 165g.

- Joyseat Ultra is the other all-new saddle in the 3D-printed custom-fit family. Posedla describes it as their “most technologically advanced saddle to date” with a new reinforced UD carbon shell and oval rails developed to optimize lightweight and race-ready stiffness. It is the new choice of Classified x Rose Gravel Racing Team (in special edition purple) with custom saddle weights from just 155g.
Tech details

Posedla creates all of their Joyseat saddles with a proprietary ‘3S’ algorithm to fine-tune each saddle shape, size, and support structure based on a combination of the rider’s personal biometric fit data and information provided about rider preference and riding style. And they do that with a simple at-home ‘Smiling Butt Kit‘ sit bone impression kit that makes a personalized fit easily accessible to all cyclists, with saddle widths from 130-170mm wide in 1mm increments.

Then, each of the 3 models uses the same Multi-Jet Fusion 3D-printing tech to create the custom-structured TPU padding for each individual.
“With Joyseat, customisation isn’t a feature. It’s the foundation,” describes Posedla co-founder Martin Řípa.
All of the Joyseat are manufactured entirely in Europe, joining the custom 3D-printed tops to carbon & composite shells made in Posedla’s HQ & workshop in Czech Republic.
