Hi! I'm a Ph.D. student at Stanford Computer Science, advised by Professor Leo Guibas. I'm broadly interested in computer vision, especially in perceiving and simulating human-world interactions. I'm very fortunate to have worked with Prof. Karen Liu, Prof. Xue Bin (Jason) Peng, Prof. Stan Birchfield at NVIDIA, Dr. Jimei Yang at Adobe, and Dr. Joseph Tighe at Meta. I did my Masters in Electrical Engineering at Stanford as well, where I worked with Profs. Juan Carlos Niebles and Fei-Fei Li on video understanding. Before that, I enjoyed four years at South China University of Technology, where I did some cool stuff on iOS app development.

Teaching

AI4ALL: During Summer 2019, I was a research mentor for the Computer Vision team at Stanford AI4ALL, along with Andrew Kondrich. We spent three amazing weeks with eight talented high-school girls working together on a project, which applied Computer Vision techniques on Global Poverty Discovery. Aside from the project, we also designed course materials, assignments and gave lectures.

Graduate Teaching Assistant: At Stanford, I've served as a TA for CS231n: Convolutional Neural Networks for Visual Recognition (Spring 2020 & 2019) and CS131: Computer Vision: Foundations and Applications (Fall 2021 (head TA) & 2019).

Projects

Misc

  • I'm from Yantai, a coastal city in east China.

  • I mostly enjoy music as my secondary life. Fun fact: I've been playing piano since 4 :P

  • I love traveling. I maintain a Places I've Visited map. Looking forward to exploring the rest of the world!
