Tier Upgrade Does Not Work

I have already paid well over $2000 for the API, and I made my successful payment more than a month ago. According to your documentation, I should be eligible for an upgrade to Tier 3. However, on my API key page (https://aistudio.google.com/app/u/2/apikey), I still do not see any option to increase my tier. This directly contradicts the User Tier section in the rate limits documentation.

I have submitted four forms “Modified by moderator” and contacted Google Billing customer support, but I have not received any response at all. Is the tier upgrade actually working, or is the upgrade option unavailable to users entirely?

Welcome to the Forum,

You can upgrade your API key on the API key page if you meet the following criteria:

  • Total spend exceeds $1,000
  • Payment has matured for 30 days

If you believe you meet these prerequisites but do not see an upgrade button, please DM me your Project ID for further investigation.
