- 2. THE ONLY GOOD APACHE IS A How can we position a romantic paramour relationship between a man and a woman, with the woman’s child on the side, or maybe in the very center? The man is Hondo Lane, a somewhat famous fast shooter who only trusts his six-shooter Colt and eventually a carbine. Hence, he is well-known in the West and Far West, and his reputation may frighten some people, and it does the woman, Angie Lowe. But she is married, and she took her husband some years ago when she was too young to be sound of mind, and the husband is an open outlaw who only looks for trouble because trouble means some profit if you choose your targets properly. In fact, some time later in the film, Hondo Lane will kill, out of self-defense, the husband and recuperate the picture of his son he was holding all along. In the meantime, the local Apaches, led by Chief Vittorio, invade Angie Lowe’s ranch, and it goes through rather fine because Chief Vittorio is fascinated by Angie’s son Ed Lowe, and he takes him under his protection. Ed’s picture, recovered by Hondo Lane from the dead father, is going to save his life in the Apache camp because Chief Vittorio believes Hondo Lane is Ed’s father. All that is complicated, but it could have led to some romance, a romantic story. It does not because the cavalry arrives, headed by a foolish young lieutenant. That’s when a caravan of wagons arrives, too, crossing this Apache country to go to California. The Indians attack the caravan, but the cavalry protects them. So, we have the famous circle of wagons besieged by the Indians, but Hondo Lane manages to break the circle and the siege, and in three successive episodes, they kill a lot of Indians, and Chief Vittorio gets killed too. The Indians, then, go back to their camp, and the caravan of wagons, in which Angie Lowe and Ed Lowe are, manages to go through to the happy Californian ending. The Indians are killed out of self-defense, but the Caucasian Europeans turned refugees in the USA from all sorts of discrimination in Europe, forget of course they have stolen the land of these Indians, and they have destroyed their lifestyle, giving them only the alternative of the Trail of Tears: sure death soon, locked up in reservations where they have no future. Apart from one or two remarks about the sadness of this history, the genocide of the Indians is just accepted as normal self-defense. And such arguments are not a loincloth to save the morality of the conquest of the Werst, which was anything but moral or ethical. The loincloth is by far slightly too small to hide anything of this unredeemable termination of the Indians, their lifestyle, their cultures, their languages, and all that only led to the Manifest Destiny, and Make America Great Again. Greenland, the new far West, and the local native population can start getting ready for the Caucasian genocide.
- 3. That sure was a time when morality was not the main interest or objective of the Caucasian Christian European Invaders. Think about it twice before abandoning yourself in that simplistic ideology. Mais elle est mariée et a épousé son mari il y a quelques années, alors qu'elle était trop jeune pour être saine d'esprit. Le mari est un hors-la-loi déclaré qui ne cherche que les ennuis, car les ennuis sont source de profit si l'on choisit bien ses cibles. D'ailleurs, plus tard dans le film, Hondo Lane tuera ce mari, en état de légitime défense, et récupérera la photo de son fils qu'il tenait tout du long de l’altercation. Pendant ce temps, les Apaches locaux, menés par le chef Vittorio, envahissent le ranch d'Angie Lowe, et l'opération se déroule plutôt bien, car le chef Vittorio est fasciné par le fils d'Angie, Ed Lowe, et il le prend sous sa protection. La photo d'Ed, récupérée par Hondo Lane sur le corps mort du père, va lui sauver la vie au campement apache, car le chef Vittorio croit que Hondo Lane est le père d'Ed.
- 4. Tout cela est compliqué, mais cela aurait pu donner lieu à une histoire d'amour, une histoire romantique. Cela n'arrive pas, car la cavalerie arrive, menée par un jeune lieutenant un peu fou. C'est alors qu'une caravane de chariots arrive également, traversant ce pays apache pour se rendre en Californie. Les Indiens attaquent la caravane, mais la cavalerie les protège. On retrouve donc le fameux cercle de chariots assiégés par les Indiens, mais Hondo Lane parvient à briser le cercle et le siège, et en trois épisodes successifs, ils tuent beaucoup d'Indiens, et le chef Vittorio est lui aussi tué. Les Indiens retournent alors à leur campement, et la caravane de chariots, dans laquelle se trouvent Angie Lowe et Ed Lowe, parvient à atteindre l'heureuse fin californienne. Les Indiens sont tués en état de légitime défense, mais les Européens caucasiens, réfugiés aux États- Unis pour fuir toutes sortes de discriminations en Europe, oublient bien sûr qu'ils ont volé leurs terres et détruit leur mode de vie, ne leur laissant que l'alternative de la Piste des Larmes : une mort certaine et imminente, enfermés dans des réserves sans avenir. Hormis quelques remarques sur la tristesse de cette histoire, le génocide des Indiens est simplement accepté comme une légitime défense. Et de tels arguments ne sont pas un pagne pour sauver la moralité de la conquête de l'Ouest, qui était tout sauf morale ou éthique. Ce pagne est bien trop petit pour dissimuler cette irrémédiable fin des Indiens, de leur mode de vie, de leurs cultures, de leurs langues, et de tout cela pour ne conduire qu'à la Destinée Manifeste et à « Rendre sa grandeur à l'Amérique (MAGA) ». Le Groenland est le nouveau Far West, et la population autochtone locale peut commencer à se préparer au génocide caucasien. C'était assurément une époque où la moralité n'était pas l'intérêt ni l'objectif principal des envahisseurs européens chrétiens caucasiens (comme les Américains en place appellent les blancs). Réfléchissez-y à deux fois avant de vous abandonner à cette idéologie simpliste. Dr Jacques COULARDEAU
