About this audiobook
Effortless Mastery is a book that the world really needs. It was not written by a philosopher or an academic. Kenny Werner, is one of my favorite pianists I've ever had the pleasure of working with, and in my opinion one of the best pianists living on the planet. Kenny teaches that 'The joy of practicing is concentration. The joy of playing is liberation.' Effortless Mastery teaches the seeker how to achieve both at the highest levels. It also shows how to practice effectively, promoting real growth and how to play and perform free from fear and self-judgment. I highly recommend this book. ---Quincy Jones

Hands down, this is the best book I have ever read about about art. Yes, its about music. I am a songwriter who paints, and Kenny's words of wisdom resonate for both realms. His compassionate, no-nonsense advice gets to the heart of what art is--a gift, to yourself and the world. All procrastinators, take heart. Kenny has keys to unlock the overwhelm. This is a beautiful gift to everyone who practices an art form, or wants to. Read it, be inspired and connect to the divine artist within. Thank you Kenny!2 people found this helpful

This book has really helped me to play with less effort and greater mastery. I have shared the ideas and exercises in this book with my students and have noticed an improvement in their playing. More importantly the enjoyment they get out of playing has increased. A must read for all musicians.1 person found this helpful
