She has published original research papers in these fields and is a regular peer reviewer in all areas relevant to academic primary care. In 2015, along with Professor Harnden, she was awarded the IgNobel Prize for Diagnostic Medicine for her research on whether speed bumps are a useful tool in the diagnosis of appendicitis (answer: they are). She is on the Executive Committee of the Primary Care Respiratory Society UK (2016-). She is a GP at 19 Beaumont Street surgery, Oxford, and Janet Vaughan Tutor in Clinical Medicine at Somerville College, Oxford.view less
