Iurii P. Sizov, a professor and Russian scientist, graduated from the physics department at Kazan State University before pursuing a Ph.D. at the Russian Academy of Sciences. He worked with the Pushkov Institute of Terrestrial Magnetism on the ionosphere and on radio wave propagation as well as the Russian Academy of Sciences.
