Ph.D., M.A. I M.A. II (Philosophy and Comparative Literature) is an Indian Scholar and Philosopher of Mind with a particular focus on Contemplative Neuroscience. She earned her Ph.D. from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, West Bengal, and is a NET/JRF qualified doctorate. Dr. Dhar has been awarded two General Fellowships from the Indian Council of Philosophical Research (ICPR), New Delhi, for her post-doctoral projects in 2003 and 2013.Dr. Dhar's academic journey includes a Bachelor's degree with Philosophy Honors, a B.Ed., and double Master's degrees in Philosophy and Comparative Literature, all from Jadavpur University. She has served as a guest faculty member at the School of Cognitive Science, Jadavpur University, where she taught M.Phil students for three consecutive years. Her research interests lie in the intersection of philosophy and cognitive science, particularly exploring the changes in the mind, brain, and body resulting from contemplative practices like mindfulness meditation and yoga. Dr. Dhar has published several papers and books based on her research activities, contributing significantly to the field.
