Introduction

Relationship is both the reality and the illusion of the separated world. Think deeply on this in light of what has elsewhere been said in these volumes and you will begin to understand the source of much of man’s confusion.

Reality is that which is in operation on any one plane and so it patterns, conforms, binds and restricts the experience and perception of those who feel themselves existing on that plane. Reality, with a capital ‘R’ may also refer to Truth, or that which lies behind the outer form or experience of a plane. Stretching outward from the source, lie many planes of reality, and likewise, evolving back towards the source are many others. You can see then, as we have said, each plane has its own reality and its own illusion. Illusion is the inability to see beyond the plane one’s consciousness occupies, to the fact of other planes. It is also the assumption that the interrelationships between those parts occupying a plane are of a particular nature.

In the evolving worlds all is change, and these worlds are webbed in varying degrees of Light as they raise their consciousness, transmuting their substance from density to lightness. At each level of being, at each density of substance, these worlds are internally moving, the relationship of one part to another alternately held in balance and moved to a new balance. Each has its own internal order and the paths of raising travelled by its parts are laid down by the laws which created it, those laws being both its nature and its limit of activity. Each solar system and each world within each solar system has a basis of existence fundamental to itself yet set within a greater law of physicality governing the various planes of consciousness through which it passes on its journey of consciousness.

Each world is a being containing many beings and these worlds in turn contained within a greater being. As it is in the microcosm, so it is in the macrocosm and this law holds, be it within your body or the body of the planet, the sun, or ‘your’ solar system as the body of a greater whole. Beyond any man’s comprehension is the relationship between the great solar beings and the higher journeys of their souls, and yet eventually, contained as you are within the greater life of these majestic beings, you will one day know, but then you will be joined, not as separate men, but conscious units of this greater whole.

It is not your comprehension of these greater matters that is required at present, but your acceptance of the bigger plan, that you may in bright awareness play your part, and so in ordered speed advance your human race and with that true advancement carry much of the creation beside you in the world, with you.

Relationship implies the separateness of the things which are related to each other. This separation is precisely the illusion of the world that you need to understand. ‘All is One’ is a phrase so oft repeated that it trips off the tongue, but the implications of this phrase, when understood, shake the foundations of your personal and social worlds.

Oneness is the fundamental Truth, but knowing that Truth in all its potential is what we have termed ‘Life’. It is the ‘journey’ of all that exists seemingly separately yet not, since all is One. In the effort to understand Oneness words are woefully superficial. Only deep contemplation will render up the secrets of Oneness to the seeker, so use our words, not to supply you the answers, but to prompt the direction of your internal ponderings so that as you explore the implications of these words their real meaning can reveal itself to you, and understanding come, not just in theory but in the inner sensing of all that surrounds you, be it object, thought, person or any other form or apparently formless aspect of experience you feel as ‘Life’.

Do you sit now in a chair as you read? What is the nature and substance of the chair whereon you sit to read? A solid thing that holds your body momentarily? Of course it is, and to deny its solidity is foolish for that is indeed a fact, at one level of knowing. But ponder on the space between the atoms of the chair and it seems not so solid. Take your mind between those spaces and a whole new universe opens up to you. But further still, do those atoms not have within them whirling parts moved by what can be broadly called the ‘electricity’ of the universe? Is it not this charge, this energy, which holds these whirling parts in right place to each other? And is not the holding of one thing in position vis a vis another, relationship? So behind physical relationship is ‘electricity,’ or better described, ‘energy’.

Right relationship springs from a recognition of each ‘thing’s’ partnering relationship with other parts of the whole. To think on the Oneness of that which you call God, is to discover right relationship. Have we not said, how can something truly be that is not of God, since God is all there is? The unfoldment you see, the gradual awakening of the lower aspects of self to its higher source or cause, is simply a process of awareness, it is not a fact of some things being God and some not-God. Herein lies the illusion for God’s is an inclusive universe.

Imagine a never-ending explosion of Light and all those waves of Light produced flung far from their source, but still remaining attached to it, and you have a graphic representation of the movement of God—each wave of light apparently journeying, yet remaining a wave of the source and eventually returning to its source. Does not respect for all things come from an understanding of this unity, that the Light, the life and power in each of those waves is the same Light whether it be shaped as a person or tree, a butterfly or a star? It is the same Light, that is why each of you in your realisation of who you truly are, is the Light of the world, and as you leave behind the outermost extension of you, withdrawing the lower consciousness as something no longer useful, you travel back along the wave of light that is you, and so your light increases as it returns towards its source.

So difficult it is to speak of unity with separative words! In Truth there is not you and the Light but only the Light which is you. Ponder at every opportunity this fact and all your life will change for you, all of creation become real for you and separation disappear for you. The mind of man must complicate the game, thinking in a linear fashion of that which is non-linear but whole, simultaneous, and does not in truth move because it is One. What appears as movement is simply the ripple of awareness of itself and what we call manifestation is the farthest extension of that awareness into a certain kind of possibility—materiality.

How non-sensical are your social divisions when seen in the Light of Truth! When your aim is not to divide through privilege and status, possession and cultural distinction, but to uplift the consciousness of each to awareness that each is Light, how fast would all the ‘problems’ of your world disappear and the Earth reap only benefit from thee. Not in weakness, in caving in to the demands of power and separative thinking will this golden era come, but through the absolute strength of those that know themselves to be of Light; not in imposition of their will on others, but in their example, and in their staying in the Truth of who they
