In The Beginning…

CHAPTER ONE

Human Experience

~On the Same Ground

You remember, it was 1969, we were playing on 12th street with other kids from the neighborhood. We were all so different, and yet all so alike. Simply, we were poor. Without a worry or care, we played endlessly during long hot summers. All of us seemed filled with a boundless energy, overflowing into thoughtless actions of jumping, twisting, twirling, and anything else our little arms and legs could do.  My favored hero was the winged crusader, the Batman. Imagining I was caped and booted with my utility belt, living the life of an action hero. My ‘big-wheel’ became a bat-mobile as I hotly  pursued imaginary villains. Batman, an often first choice for his many gadgets fell second only to the bird, the plane, Superman. Also caped, I had regularly caught up to my foe before I transformed into the steel bending marvel character. Spreading my arms out as a plane, I imagined flying as my cape sliced through the wind. I was invincible like all the other super heros on my block.

From one adventure to the next, as days rolled on, I invincibly crushed all which came before me. That is, until someone yelled out The Lightbulb Man, here comes the Lightbulb Man. As it was explained to me countless times before, the Lightbulb Man was a full grown Man who had the body of a child and whose head was shaped like a light-bulb, thus the name. He was known to be strong and could tear you in half, given the chance. I thought this was amazing, since he had no face or eyes and the actual head of a light-bulb.

Leaving my red and black capes to fly in the wind, I ran in the house too afraid to return. Momma  had to reassure me the Light-bulb Man was gone and not to be feared anymore, before I’d move. My mother attempted to dispel all notions of a silly old Lightbulb-Man being real but I wasn’t hearing it. I KNEW the Lightbulb Man was REAL! This simple fact kept me laying awake at night, fearing his return.

I know. Looking back on this, it seems like just a foolish childhood ghost story. However true this appears to be, it is not just my story, its your story also.

The miraculous ability to believe nearly anything told to us, served, and yet serves as an interesting right of passage for everyone. It was easy for us to believe as children, because we believed our instructions in the womb. The brain usually forms in the fetus in the third week. The formation of the brain, in process, is the same activity in adult learning. In development, we could say, the infant has similar psychological experiences as the adult, even if on an infantile scale. (Sorry, couldn’t resist the pun.)

We would agree, our physical life began when born. What is exemplary, our psychological life began before we were born. We were alive psychologically and spiritually before we were physically so.

Your quest for living a deeper life of fulfillment is testimony to your being far more than biology alone. Desire, passion, and intention are all the fingerprints of an intangible or even spiritual person. This individual began before physical birth and has had a head start ever since.²

Looking at the beginning of human existence, we begin as a formless mass called a zygote.  I would argue looking upon a zygote and comparing it to a corona-less sun, would yield a great deal of similarities. As a formless embodiment of mind-staggering potential, this being resembles previous descriptions of God - a formless source of power and potential which can manifest within any number of possibilities. Having a body, or mass as the beginning of its exterior, it nonetheless, has a formless, yet orbed shape for a body. As you and I have a body and a mind, the orbed person also has a level of consciousness which facilitates its formation.

…What we consider to be a human activity called sensory awareness belongs to all beings and all things.³

There can be no Universe without Consciousness, no body without mind, and no zygote without a level of living awareness, however minute. I would suggest the level of awareness increases as the form progresses and is able to ascend to higher levels of consciousness.

Not every human experience is the same, the operative word is ‘experience’. Our beginnings however, may hold a more patterned uniformity than the variations of our many experiences. Without this beginning uniformity of creation, could all of us be considered human? Certainly we have no problem owning our originality. We are one of a kind. Its the ‘kind’ part, I’d like to focus on. We are the kind of beings which have all had pre-natal experiences and interactions. Meaning, we were psychologically, and some would dare say, Spiritually active before birth.

A Trailing Cloud of Glory… speaks of a prenatal impartation or even experience of some kind, in which the pre-born experienced interaction of an intangible nature. With Western science slowly catching up to the East, it reluctantly considers conversations of ‘Spirit’ unless in a parapsychological context. In some respects, science isn’t ready to fully embrace the spirit question. It is my conviction, the intangible peak experiences of the pre-born, to be the communion with, and acceptance of the ‘God-Spark,’ which will be discussed at length later.  It is this set of instructions, programming, contractual agreements,  and inborn disposition, we term Life Purpose, or Destiny. This is what was received as a kind of mission or intent, encoded within this Spark of the Infinite Intelligence within us. It has always been there, though often unrecognized.

Locked within, are worlds of insight which cannot be properly or adequately expressed by a zygote, fetus, or even an infant. This is because the infant and soon to be child, doesn’t have the brain development to mentally assimilate what it has carried since its conscious beginnings. It is an inborn gift, a package of intent and purpose, so meticulously interwoven into the fabric of its being, it causes such abilities and desires to seem common place and everyday familiar, perhaps regular even.

The Paradox of Potential

What is potential except the energetic blueprint of mental states, activities, and the skill sets to fulfill a certain task? The potential of a thing is the essence of the thing being imagined, without the corresponding action and tangible form to accompany it. To put this perspective in reverse, I ask, what is a thing without its essence? Imagine an automobile on a showroom floor. You see the tires, the body, seats, and knobs where the radio should be turned on, but, there’s no radio, no engine, nothing. In fact, the only thing that is real, is the outer shell of the car itself. Because it lacks the major essentials, you can’t pass go, or collect two-hundred dollars. It’s just for show and at best, lends the ‘idea’ of what is intended.

Why do I bring this up? The God-Sparked infant brims with potential, and if she could express her tiny self, would give us something to think on for ages to come. As a lifetime owner of the God-Spark, that minute and seemingly infinitesimally small essence of God, she has the potential to fulfill her purpose, with ease.

The potential she has inherited, is uniquely suited to assist her as she grows and her little mind develops and stretches.  The potential, the essence of who she truly is, lies waiting in a kind of trust, until she becomes spiritually and mentally of functional age to assume her responsibilities. Becoming enriched with who she will become at a later date, isn’t a ticking time bomb of sorts. In fact, because the living purpose within her is alive, like her toddler self, it isn’t going to stay put either. Life lives, moves, and always seeks to manifest from the inside out. She will have moments of contradiction in which the God-Spark within, will give evidence of itself without even attempting a level of mastery or completion. All she gets for now, is a hint, the evidence of something more, the proverbial carrot before the horse of her future success.

The Paradox of Potential is the pushing to go ahead and express the God-ordained desire, while feeling the yank on the dog collar, Get back here! What then is the purpose of this paradox? Why go through this?

The purpose of the paradox is to point, and rehearse. It’s a note, Hey, look at this, do you remember? Like a car revving its engine at the stoplight, its saying, "Whenever I get the green light to go full steam ahead, this is how I’m going to let my engine roar!" Realizing it’s not time yet, the car is revved in neutral, awaiting the moment life forwards a green light and an ‘ok’ to take the foot off the brake, and let yourself go.

It seems we often contradict ourselves as this example shows. Many are at the very spot described, at a stand-still, forbidden to proceed, while revving their engines and firmly pressing the brake. This too has its purpose. One such purpose is simply to facilitate Unconscious Preparation⁵. This happens when we are being guided by the God-Spark to proceed, not in fulfilling the task(s), but in preparing for it. Not knowing the why, or even the when, we find ourselves walking out steps of preparation.⁶ The starts and stops of Destiny are preparatory in nature and aren’t intended to frustrate or dishearten. If you could hear the voice of the God-Spark, it would gently suggest, "Ok, now is the time to take a step further in preparing, don’t worry, your big day is coming."

Destiny, Potential, and the Fractalism

Little Julia has all the potential to become what she will at a later date, this is certain. She will experience the starts and stops of potential’s paradox for sure, we all do. She will also participate in moments of Unconscious Preparation. She will experience those moments when seemingly on autopilot, she will engage in and fulfill a necessary piece of the puzzle she didn’t even know existed, at least not consciously, not yet.

What works beneath the surface is an awakening of sorts. Each time the giant within, like the great Genie in the little bottle, is free to play for a moment, the impulses will begin. Real desires persist, much like those moments when the light is permitted to be green, and the foot released from the proverbial brake, gifts will be acknowledged and engaged.

Fractalism

The God-Spark is the essence and very pattern of the person to come. In true fractal expression, the person within will continue to manifest on larger and larger scales. What is a fractal you ask? To answer this, we’ll have to invite your imagination to play along.

A fractal occurs wherever there is a shape of a larger size, which repeats the same pattern and shape at each level of investigation. Arriving at the smallest unit of observation, you find an exact replica of the larger. Fractals occur whenever the smallest part of a larger object is the exact representation of the larger, and vise versa. As in the fractal where each part is a miniature of the whole, and each minute piece is an exact replica of its most grandiose expression, so is the God-Spark within us, to God, in whatever terms your understanding would allow.⁷

The important factoid here, is in the God-Spark’s fractal qualities in relationship to you and the divine being from which it originates. The God-Spark is true to its original essence and form, as well as to you, its physical manifestation and host. This being said, understand the playing field. The fractal qualities of the God-Spark insists on maintaining its integrity to its original source, and the manifestation it is being physically expressed as, you.

It is then, of vital importance to retrace the steps of the God Spark and follow its lead. Doing so, will lead to great harmony and fulfillment. This is living life from the inside out. Following this divine agent which lives within, makes it necessary to forever celebrate a greater plan with which your life has been invested. To re-connect with this Godsend, is to never wonder again if a giant hand is going to come down from the sky and swat you one. To live from within is the greatest joy and force of fulfillment I
