I have worked as a professional makeup/hair artist for the last 10 years and I love my career. I believe every woman should look and feel confident.

Growing up, we were poor as we were new immigrants to Canada from Poland, yet my mother, who used to be a Fashion Editor, always looked great. We never wasted anything and this is where creativity really helped.

I would love to share the best beauty tips, tricks, as well as techniques that I have learned; these will save you time, money and allow you to get the best beauty results in today’s busy world.

Basic Rules and Guidelines

If you are going to have your focus on eyes, keep the lips nude or fairly muted, and vice versa for lips. For example, red lips and a black smoky eye are too overpowering, so keep the eyes a bit muted unless you are going for a 1980’s-inspired look.

Never have lips, skin and eyes that are all shimmer and shine; focus on either skin and eyes, or skin and lips. the same goes for a matte look. If you prefer the matte look, make the lips a bit shinier. Mix it up a little. This always gives the best effect.

I always like to say, if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it. With makeup, a little goes a long way, enhancing your best features while minimizing any flaws. Not looking like you are doing it is the key to amazing results.
