Dr. Carole D. Hillman
Dr. Carole D. Hillman is a recently retired Professor Emeriti of Elmhurst College. She received her M.Ed. From the University of Illinois and both her Doctorate and Post Doctorates are from Northern Illinois University. She began her work teaching second grade and has taught at both the early childhood as well as advanced levels. Many of her writings have involved a blending of subjects, and a variety of hands-on activities, programs, etc. for the early learner. In addition she has written articles, materials, texts, and programs for learners at various levels of development. She also developed a variety of materials making use of State Standards for The Chicago Tribune which teachers could utilize as they taught children.

She also developed a variety of materials making use of State Standards for The Chicago Tribune which teachers could utilize as they taught children.
Dr. Hillman starred in the State of Illinois film entitled Beyond the Book
after she developed a learning center program which was identified as Outstanding in the State
and Outstanding in the Nation
. One of the texts she has written involves how to establish a school learning center. An underlying premise within her writings notes that we are all gifted, however, our gifts are manifested in different ways.
