What an amazing therapist. Frank helped me eliminate trauma I had carried for two years, I can’t say enough wonderful things about him.

Frank Lea showed us his Creative Mind Therapy for both myself in 2004 and my daughter this year, 2005, the evening before we took our Driving Test. Both of us are born worriers and think negative thoughts especially when the word ‘TEST’ is involved and could only think on the lines of I am not going to pass
. The Therapy solved all that negativity and was worth every penny, for only one 1 hour session, going home we both felt this isn’t going to work, on getting up the next day, the actual fear had left and we both felt determined to pass, guess what, we did. I could not recommend this therapy more highly and would not hesitate to use it again if the need arose.
A very grateful client.
Dear Frank,
Just a few words to let you know how I have been getting on after my session with you back in April when you helped me with my fear of heights and skiing. I have just got back from holiday in Chamonix in the French Alps. I went up several mountains in cable cars and also used the chair lift. I was comfortable and certainly not panicking. I felt for the first time that I was in control and could handle it. I was able to put my fear of heights in place and not let it stop me doing what I wanted to do. The results so far are amazing and I would like to thank you. My husband is extremely pleased and happy for me and we are looking forward to getting on the slopes with our sons. I have been in touch with the Phobics Society to let them know of my wonderful experience.
Many, many thanks. Margaret.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
I wish to thank Yvonne Oswald, author of Every Word Has Power for encouraging me to write this book and its sister book, Creative Mindpower Techniques to Heal Yourself and Others, which deals with resolving a huge range of emotional and psychological issues and problems including many bodily conditions. Her support and advice during my work has been invaluable.
Also I wish to thank Dr. Jonathan Royle for his teachings in stage hypnosis which greatly improved my expertise and success as a hypnotherapist.
My first tutor John Howard and later tutors Paul McKenna and Richard Bandler for their invaluable training in hypnosis and neuro linguistic programming, all of which contributed to the development of my own Creative Mindpower Techniques.
Not forgetting all my many hundreds of clients from whom I learnt so much and gained such huge satisfaction from successfully helping them resolve their issues.
HOW IT ALL STARTED
Many years ago a member of my family was diagnosed with a very rare, painful and debilitating complaint which only a few medical professionals knew much about, and no cure was known nor has since been discovered. In addition to this she also suffered from Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Wheat Intolerance. She coped with this stoically for many years.
One fortunate day I spotted a small advertisement offering training in hypnotherapy with a promise that a lucrative and satisfying career was a distinct possibility.
As I had spent many years studying and practicing martial arts I already knew that a great deal of the power of martial arts came from the mind rather than just physical strength and ability. Because of this the idea of hypnosis struck me as possibly providing the means to help my family member through utilising the power of her mind, particularly because the slightest stress always aggravated her condition, so it was obvious to me that because stress was definitely a state of mind and also contributed to the Irritable Bowel Syndrome hypnosis could be a way to ease the stress and alleviate the condition. With this motivation I applied for the course.
This particular course was expected to take up to two years to complete (unlike today where trainers think two or three days` training is sufficient). Amazingly to me, I discovered I had a natural tendency towards hypnotherapy and easily assimilated the knowledge and skills involved. As a result I completed the course in six months and passed the exam with a 94% marking.
Using my new found skills I`m happy to say that I successfully relieved the lady mentioned of her Irritable Bowel Syndrome which led to a reduction in the problem with wheat intolerance. However, I have to admit I have not been wholly successful with the rare condition but have helped reduce its impact far more than the medical people had been able to do to the extent that they asked how this was done because they noticed the change in her condition, since then they utilise the method I showed them to help their other patients.
At a later time I also used my knowledge and skills to help the same lady when she was diagnose with breast cancer – no, I was not able to cure the cancer, at that time I didn`t know how to approach such a task, though I do now. I was, however, able to help her cope with the tremendous emotional and mental trauma (which we know everyone diagnosed with cancer suffers) and was able to help her approach the surgery she needed in a calm and positive manner. Pleasingly the surgeon commented on her state of mind and positive reaction to the surgery, acknowledging that the success of the operation and subsequent speedy recovery was definitely enhanced by it. Happily I have since been able to help many people prior to operations in this way.
Though originally my intention to learn hypnotherapy was purely to help the lady mentioned and not as a career in its own right I derived so much satisfaction from helping people and witnessing the amazing results of hypnotherapy that it did become my main career. Now that I am getting on in years this book is my endeavour to pass on my skills and knowledge so that others can enjoy the satisfaction of healing themselves and other people and, if you like, carrying on the good work, or passing on the good news.
INTRODUCTION
Please note that while this book deals with sexuality and sexual problems it is not written for fun or any kind of sexual enjoyment. It is information vital to those who suffer from sexual problems, are confused about their sexuality or are the victims of sexual abuse. It is aimed at giving insight into how sexualities and sexual inclinations are formed and offers safe and effective ways of dealing with them and includes self-help and understanding for victims of rape and sexual abuse.
Every journey begins with one step and you have taken the first step on an amazing journey to become your own therapist and become free of anything that is less than satisfying in your life and once you have mastered these simple yet powerful techniques you will be able to apply them to help others, in fact you may even decide to take things further and become a professional therapist. Nothing can be more satisfying than knowing you have helped someone change their life for the better and consequently the lives of those around them, for instance, a recent client who, as a result of being abused as a child was unable to have a normal relationship. It is so good to receive a letter to say she is now about to be married – her life and the lives of her husband to be, family and friends is so full of happiness now, and to know that I have played a part in bringing about so much joy is a feeling that very few other careers can achieve.
WHAT HYPNOSIS IS AND WHAT IT CAN ACHIEVE
The terms hypnosis and hypnotherapist are familiar to most people but new to others so the question is often asked what is hypnosis?
To answer this it helps to describe the work of the hypnotherapist. Originally hypnotherapy was, and often still is, a suggestion based therapy where some concept, idea or suggestion is put forward to the client. This form of therapy is particularly useful to help a person stop smoking for instance.
What is hypnotherapy? As with other therapies, hypnotherapy is used to heal, the one unique and vital factor of difference is that hypnotherapy is directed at healing through the power of the subconscious mind, the supreme human bodily programme. In this way it becomes possible to not only treat the mind itself but the entire bodily system in a natural and safe way. This is possible because no part of the body can function without the mind and no part can perform efficiently and properly if the mind fails to completely fulfil its functions relative to that part.
Hypnotherapy is conducted with the subject in the natural state of hypnosis which gives the therapist direct access to the subconscious mind. It is the subconscious mind that governs us and makes us the personality we are and causes us to react in the way that we do, therefore if we are reacting or behaving in a way that is detrimental to us we can change that just like deleting some unwanted programme from a computer and installing a new and better one. Hypnotherapy is not concerned with disease and general illness though it can assist conventional medicine by stimulating the subject`s immune system.
Hypnosis should not be used to replace conventional medicine, rather it should go hand in hand with it for the simple reason that should the subject`s condition be a symptom of the mind state and the therapist brings about the relief of that state the condition will be resolved in any case.
Regarding the status of hypnotherapy, whether it is an alternative or complimentary therapy I suggest the answer is neither. The hypnotherapist is the only practitioner specialising through hypnosis, therefore it can be considered a separate branch of medicine. Because of the uniqueness of hypnotherapeutic approach and the fact that it is directed at treating the most significant organ of the human body, hypnotherapy must ultimately become recognised as of equal if not more importance than other medical approaches.
Hypnosis can be used to treat a very wide range of conditions, commonly neurotic ones, but also those that appear to be non-neurotic, in fact the hypnotherapist can resolve physiological conditions also, for example slipped discs, trapped nerves and mysterious pains that defy conventional medical treatment.
Hypnosis can also be used to help the body heal rapidly following surgical operations or injury, I use it a lot to prepare a person for surgery to enhance the success of the operation and speed the recovery process, indeed a recent client I helped in this way reported that the surgeon and medical staff were amazed at her recovery rate. The hypnotherapist can help a subject to permanently alter his mental reactions and by doing so become more positive, fulfilled or at ease, the subject can be helped to perform better at sports, public speaking, tests and exams, and the mother to be can be helped to experience easier labour and more comfortable child birth.
Hypnosis can
