About this ebook
Roye M. Augustine
Roye McConnell Cash-Augustine spent 40 years as a classroom teacher in Los Angeles, California and in the state of Louisiana, where she was often referred to as a Sargent. Her love and concern for others are expressed in her poetry. She feels that from the lines of poems, others can discern possibilities to lead more productive lives. She has had endless opportunities to share with varied audiences and has been prompted to share with as many people as she possibly can. Therefore, she wants to dedicate this publication to her twin sister, who has encouraged her through the years.

Messages for Varied Occasions - Roye M. Augustine
Welcome
An Address for a Family Reunion
Family, you have come from far and near,
And we certainly are glad to have you here
We are elated to see each of you here today
We endorse to take our ties a step farther
As we affirm our family affection for each other
To advocate the lessons our parents instilled in us in years past.
To love each other, share with each other, cherish each moment while it last.
Life is not meant to be lived alone
Since our first official family reunion, so many have gone on home
So while we are here together this year
Let’s bond tighter together we have no time to pretend.
The master is calling us home one by one, when our work on this Earth is done.
So, so figuratively speaking let’s get in a swirl
The family is definitely a part of this world.
We’re not experiencing a calamity so, let’s hear it for the family
At this junction, Listen for instruction, as you remember the nature of human beings be honest with yourselves. If there is anyone in this family you feel you have wounded, overtly, or covertly, positively or negatively, go to that person and give a hug and ask for forgiveness. If there is anyone you want to just know you love them other than your immediate family member go to that person and say I really love you. Only you and the Good Lord know which hug you are
