There has never been a more critical time than ever for countries to be accelerating their efforts to cut greenhouse gas emissions. Urgent action is needed at a global scale to achieve the Paris Agreement goal to limit temperature rise to less than 2 degrees Celsius (oC), while aspiring to 1.5oC.
