Part One: Mindfulness Meditation Scripts
Script 1: Beginner Breathing
As you get ready to begin your breathing meditation, it is a good idea to first begin by finding a comfortable place you can sit and relax for a few minutes. You can sit on the ground, on a pillow, or in a chair. If sitting for ten minutes is not comfortable to you, you can lie down—just make sure not to drift off to sleep! Choose a location that is relaxing and free from distractions. Turn off your phone or put it on silent, and turn off the television or any other electronic device that will take your attention away from your meditation. Once you settle into your seat, place your hands wherever is comfortable to you. Find a place to rest your gaze or close your eyes if that is what you prefer.
