    Important information about the gauge

This pattern’s gauge is 20 sts in 4inches (10cm) over stockinette stitch.

Important information regarding yarn and needle size: treat this list of yarns and the needle size as suggestion only! Please make a gauge swatch to make sure you match the gauge! The needle size will vary from yarn to yarn and from knitter to knitter! Please check your yarn label to see the needle size the yarn manufacturer recommends to obtain the gauge, make a gauge swatch and adjust the needle size if needed.

Each yarn label has information regarding the gauge and needle size – please check those when choosing the yarn. This pattern calls for 20 sts in 10cm/4in stitch count – please choose a yarn that has the same stitch count on their label. Use the needle size suggested on the label to make a gauge swatch. If your sample has more stitches in 10cm/4in repeat, make another gauge swatch using a larger size needles. If your sample has less stitches in 10cm/4in repeat, use smaller size needles to make the next gauge swatch.
