    Chapter 1: What Is Bipolar Disorder?

    Mental Health, according to Merriam and Webster, is the state of being sound rationally and candidly, in mind and in cognitive processes. In addition, this also means that a person is healthy, with no psychological sickness or disorder. This could also mean that the individual feels good about themselves, has positive sentiments about others, and has the confident capacity to face the challenges life throws at them.

    Emotional wellness directly influences everything we do, including our social, physical, and spiritual capacity. It is vital to be healthy mentally because it helps us to make the correct decisions, even under extreme pressure, and helps us get to know other people socially. Our holistic psychological well-being is imperative to our formation at each stage of life.

    Over the span of a person’s life, they may develop a mental health disorder. There are several factors that can contribute to this development, which we have listed below:

    Biological Factors: when we say biological factors, this includes microorganisms, cell societies, human endoparasites, and parts from microorganisms that can harm the overall wellbeing of a person. This can determine a person’s capacity to either be immune to diseases or to be susceptible to them.  

    Life Experiences: Mental challenges may occur when an individual has experienced trauma, abuse, or pain. When a person encounters a horrible event, say abuse or an accident, several symptoms can present themselves. This may be right away, or further down the line, such as with PTSD.  

    Hereditary or Genetic: Scientists believe that psychological disorders or mental illnesses are also caused by an assortment of hereditary and human ecological elements. Usually, when
