About this ebook
If you suffered from physical or psychological violence, then keep reading.
One third of women worldwide have experienced physical, psychological and/or sexual violence by an intimate partner (man or woman); and 18% have experienced such violence in the past 12 months.
Violence in relationships and families is becoming more and more prevalent.
Some people resign themselves because it is just the way it is; others realize that this is not how they want to live and seek a solution to their problems.
I understand you because I've been through it myself, and I suffered a lot at first, not knowing who to turn to for help. Many people don't understand you or don't believe the violence you tell them. They say it's all normal, but it's not.
My studies have led me to interview many psychologists and psychotherapists in Italy to tell me about patients' experiences, feelings, and solutions about violence against women.
We are in 2022; all women need to understand that gender equality and female rights are the basis of happiness in the world.
Life is a set of beauties, tastes, joys, and sorrows. It is unique and therefore should be lived in the best possible way, in freedom, peace, harmony, and each of us has the right to do so!
If you want to receive or give practical help, then take this book in your hands, browse through the stories of those who have been suppressed for too long and give them a voice: yours, ours.
To those who have seen their freedom suffocated, we dedicate our listening.
Let us help each other, together.

Domestic Violence Against Women - Laura Wophoeny
Introduction of the author
Wophoeny is an anonymous writer who tells stories about violence against women, how to combat it, and how to overcome these terrible incidents.
The name Wophoeny comes from the fusion of the words woman and phoenix.
A phoenix is a mythological firebird that rises from the ashes after death according to the motto Post fata resurgo
.
The book 'Feng Shui' describes it as 'A mythological bird, which never dies; the phoenix flies far ahead, observing with keen eyes the surrounding landscape and distant space. It represents our ability to see, to gather sensory information about the environment around us and the events that take place within it. The phoenix, with its absolute beauty, creates an incredible exaltation combined with the dream of immortality'.
The woman is a strong creature, who endures many hardships in life: being considered the weaker sex, menstruating, carrying the burden and honour of creating life in her body.
Both have a great soul within them, a fire that guides them to achieve their goals.
Both have within them the courage to face daily challenges and overcome imposed limits.
Violence can hurt a woman, make her believe that she is destined for perpetual suffering without considering a way out.
I believe that by joining forces with other women and providing them with the right information, it is possible to prevent some violence.
We are women and together we can create an even greater force, capable of changing our perspective to be able to see the light that we can no longer see on our own.
I believe in mutual respect and the correct education of every woman so that she understands that the world around her can be changed by moving away from the wrong people.
Introduction to the book series
100 Esperti is a series of books created by a group of friends in Milan in October 2020 amid the Covid climate.
Our vision is to bring to the international market the experiences of great experts and ordinary people on issues of interest in people's daily lives, through books that are engaging, practical, and with researched advice, aimed at solving the most sensitive problems in our society.
Our mission is to publish genuinely useful books that make up for the shortcomings currently found in affordable literature on the subject. Our objectives are to avoid: repetition of concepts, clichés, and abstract concepts not applicable to everyday life.
We believe that awareness of the state of the world in which we live can stimulate us to do something to bring about progress in mutual respect and happiness for all.
Dedication
This book is dedicated to women who are suffering and want to get out of a situation of violence, abuse, or harassment because together we can do it.
The experiences that have happened to others can be a stimulus to open our eyes and understand that continuing to lower our heads and suffer injustice will make us feel worse and worse.
Let us do it for those who have suffered, for those who are no longer here, and for those who would like a better, different world.
I hope that these stories will help you, or make you help those who are in a difficult situation and do not have the courage to get out of it.
You can't imagine how good it is to be able to show light to someone who believes they are imprisoned in darkness and have no way out.
We all have the right to be respected and to live our lives happily. We are all with you.
Introduction
Abuse against women is as old as time itself. Violence perpetrated against the presumed weaker sex is a sad reality for many. It is forever lurking, picking out fresh victims and subduing them into fearful silence. An optimistic view on the efforts to curb this destructive force would simply be to say that it is at best, a work in progress. This may sound like a doom and gloom statement but sadly it is the reality of this evil that plagues many women around the world.
If you as a woman or girl child has experienced abuse at some point in your life, or if you are currently being abused in one way or another; you need to create a bit of private time for yourself to soak in the pages of this book. Seriously consider the advice to possible solutions scattered throughout these pages. This message has been crafted to give you much-needed wisdom over the knowledge you hold of your abuse. Your exact situation is only known to you; not even a close parent, best friend or trusted work colleague knows the depths of your anguish, fear and despair. For now, you speak but only to these trusted few; you lay your soul bare but this is not as much to find a solution as it is a plea, a desperate plea, for much-needed affection to tend to your starved emotional garden. At that moment of release, you want to be saved, but such moments are starved drops of strength that barely hold your sanity intact.
Although being politically correct allows for a softer presentation of this subject, the term gender-based violence
waters down the fact that this writing is aimed at a specific gender, the biological female. Violence and abuse perpetrated against women and girls are widespread. Statistics of this mostly unreported crime will be looked at in subsequent chapters. The thought behind looking at statistics is simply to get a clearer perspective on the subject. It will also bring home to each individual woman or girl the sometimes-startling fact that you are not the only one to face the gauntlet of violence and abuse merely because you are presumed physically less able than the average man or partner.
The retelling of personal histories in this book address different scenarios that paint a picture of how abuse and violence manifest in relationships, including opportunistic situations that the perpetrators seek out to orchestrate their evil deeds. Each personal history will deal with tell-tale signs of possible or pending abuse. These warning signs are cited because they remain prevalent in reported acts of abuse after reported acts of abuse. Sadly, when abuse and violence occur, the odds of such deeds recurring are almost a given. One insult, one beating, or even one nasty comment in public posed as a joke, will ultimately lead to a second, a third, and will continue until YOU say Enough is enough!
The personal histories in this writing do cover a number of different scenarios where violence and abuse are present but it will be a daunting, if not impossible, task to mention every possible situation that lends itself to this crime. However, you will get a clear insight into this evil scourge and will be able to positively address your situation by transforming the facts of your ordeal into wise decisions. You will be able to view the facts of your situation and relate them to one or more mentioned personal histories that will undoubtedly lead to self-realization. Only you can take that step. When you do, you will feel
