I'm so Ready for Life: Book 1: So, This Is How the World Works

About this ebook
This three-book series explains the adult concepts of economics, leadership, and management in ways a child can understand. I taught my daughter Newtons laws of motion when she was just four years old by making her experience it standing in a moving bus. I have no doubt that equipping our children with real-world knowledge earlier in their lives, rather than later, is key to preparing for this so-called Fourth Industrial Revolution. With this new view of the world, children go into their teen years asking more relevant questions in school about the real world, making them better at creating solutions and adapting to changes. Parents are encouraged to read these books with their children and add their own real workplace examples into these life lessons.
Joy Wong
After a 36-year fulfilling career in banking, Joseph retired in 2015 to start his own consultancy business and write a children’s book, “while I still have my health”. Today, he uses his many talents in music and art to give back to a life that’s already given him so much.

A few words about this book
My message to kids
Why did I write this book? One day, you will finish school and look for a job. That can be scary when you do not know enough about how the world works and how adults think and behave. This book contains useful tips to prepare you to work with adults in the real world.
Why should you read this book? Well, I worked 36 years in an international bank. That makes me very old, right? Yeah…well, I can’t do anything about my age but I certainly can share my 36-year experience with you - the mistakes I made, the lessons I learned and the things that allowed me to succeed in my job. I put all these lessons into this book so that you will learn to avoid making those same mistakes.
So while this book prepares you for the future, you have to study hard in the meantime and make your parents proud of you, okay? Enjoy this book and
