    Preface

    Advanced Visual Learning

The purpose to this book is to present visual interpretations of basic structures that arise in thinking, relating to others in society, and preserving moral values. The writing style used is quite unpretentious and straight forward. Graphs and charts have been largely derived from the author’s own experiences and perceptions. However, as you will see, the author makes a most sincere effort to help the reader by not further complicating dynamics that are already complex.

By introducing a diversity of ideas, it is the author’s hope to provide a world of possibilities to the reader on how to organize his or her own life. It is also written with families in mind - that adults may share relevant information with their children as they see fit. However, anyone with critical thinking skills will be able to capture the content of this intelligent book.

This book’s title ‘Catch The Wave’ is a reference to the ‘Particle/Wave Duality’ phenomenon that is observable in an experiment wherein a stream of particles is fired at two slits and it’s outgoing pattern is seen on a sensor plate behind it. In such experiment, it turns out that the outgoing pattern observed is directly related to the observer. When someone is watching the experiment, a particle pattern is observed, whereas a wave pattern is observed when the observer is looking away. These results suggest that observer essentially collapses a wave of possibilities by merely observing. ‘Catch The Wave’ suggests a return to the world of possibilities, before the observer makes waves particles.

Although it is best read in its original layout order, its diagrams can be easily referenced in any order, at your convenience. Even numbered pages contain text that explains the charts found on the odd numbered pages. It is the author’s sincere wish, that you enjoy, and find useful, this self-exploration book.

    Introduction

Building a better life can be challenging. There are countless ways of improving one’s life, but it all starts with some deep introspection. Take a look at what is favorable, or unfavorable in your life, and decide to look at both in a positive light. I, for example, have always had use of only my left arm. My right arm suffered nerve damage at birth. I have since been functioning with mainly my left hand for writing, driving, grooming, and getting dressed. I have simply accepted this fact and so I have moved on with my life. Sure, on occasions I still wish that I had use of both my arms, but I don’t cling to this wish. I have learned to type with one hand placed over the keys FGHJ and my thumb on the space bar. I spend most of my time thinking how I can improve my life and that of others. Such is what brings me to helping you.

In this book, I have incorporated many charts and diagrams that show various aspects of the thinking process. I have included charts on identity, trust, health, and integrity – among others. By itemizing thinking processes, I am offering a simplified, visual way of learning about yourself. As you read this book, keep in mind the many ways that you are able to improve yourself. It will be as easy as looking at the charts and deciding how they apply to your life situation.

Taking careful inventory on your life can give a favorable outcome. You can edify yourself to new standards. Take your ideals and personal values and make them your own. You are the masterpiece of your life. It is my hope that these charts enrich your life with new understandings on how your life works together to form your reality. Sometimes looking at other perspectives can lead an individual to think on a higher level than they previously thought.

Don’t worry about what hasn’t yet manifested in your life. Your job now is to project into your future, that which you want to become a reality in your life. The more frequently you think about your goals, the more likely it will be that they manifest in your life. Let those new positive thoughts take over your conscious mind. Once you can see yourself in your new life, you can begin to act on your newfound success. Practice this visualization as often as you can, so that you become familiar with the life you want to live. Make the commitment to yourself to live in line with your new goals and dreams. With enough time, you will also attract more of your success by way of your thoughts. You must know what you want – to produce results accordingly.

Embracing a new identity is feasible. Your new identity should take into account the life that you envision living. Therefore when you think of yourself, that is when you think of your ego, you must think of a new person – a person born of dreams, goals, and aspirations. Choose your thoughts carefully so that they are always in line with the life that you want to live. If you desire great wealth, think of yourself as if you have already obtained it. Doing so will prep your mind to think of what resources it needs to provide your newfound wealth. A vision and a purpose are always necessary to goals. A vision and a purpose will continue to sustain you long after a goal is accomplished. You must take a hold of your vision emotionally.

    Introduction

Remember it’s not about what you have in life, it’s about who you become. Who you become, attracts what you will have. So, the question becomes who you want to become. In your personal vision, think of the good you will do for people around you. Become that person; see through the eyes of that person you want to become. If there was absolutely nothing that you could not do, what would you see yourself doing? Nurture your dreams from that point of view. Your vision must address who you want to be, what you want to do, and what you want to have. Your mission is to state what you do want, versus what you don’t want. Your thoughts must be positive, affirmative, and focused.

There’s a big difference between thinking about a positive thought and a negative thought. For instance, if you want to get out of debt, you don’t want to make your vision to include getting out of debt. The mind cannot process a negative without thinking about it. You must instead affirm that you are financially independent. You must fill your mind with affirmative thoughts that prompt you to take action that will build up to your successful completion of the goals that lead you to the life you want to live.

Let’s begin by ridding ourselves of past trauma. In this first chart, you will be able to do just that. We will be taking past traumas that you may have learned to identify with, and replacing them with a recovery identity that will launch your newfound,

    positive identity.
