INTRODUCTION
Coordination of design tasks to ensure appropriate quality of information and project delivery within a specified timescale and cost bracket is of paramount interest to all stakeholders in the construction industry.
Building services installation works (BSIW) is a specialized component of a typical building that converts the built environment into one that is comfortable and secure. This is achieved through the creation of conducive internal environments, protection from the external conditions, and the provision of welfare and security. Studies have shown that in Ghana, costs for building services range from 15 to 45 per cent of the total construction costs of a typical building. This range is dependent on the intended use of the building.
