About this ebook

Most of the poems in this book are about self reflection and recovering from pain. The author experienced a psychiatric hospitalization that broke up his engagement and created doubt about life itself. Although there is evidence of loss in some of the work, there is also resilience. Accepting the fate of experience consoles the reader and brings hope that all will eventually work out.

    Season after season

    In a symbiotic journey

    Around a lone sparkling star.

    The tethered Moon

    So close but so distant.

    Its outline familiar

    Yet eerily ghostly at gaze.

    A blessing of grace,

    Making darkness less formidable

    And isolation less threatening

For all who are under its soft white beams.

    Rectangular draped

    And boldly colored,

    It sways gently

    With ease in the wind.

    The stars a beacon
