Follow The Music Biz Road - Melanie Padron Golding
Introduction
Welcome to my e-book!
I am so excited to be writing the first content in the form of a short memoir, just to get started.
I wanted to share with you some of my music business experiences. My life in music is why I am incredibly passionate about the wellbeing of musicians working in the industry. This memoir is a brief overview to give you an idea of who I am. I called it Follow the Music Biz Road as its symbolic meaning comes from the famous story The Wizard of Oz. Dorothy's journey was to search for Emerald City to get her back home to Kansas City. I was searching for Music Biz City, trying to find my home in the music industry. This journey started at a time of vulnerability when I was only twelve years old. I have been working on a more detailed book of the life I led in music, containing elements experienced throughout my journey and the psychological impacts they had on me. The book is semi-autobiographical, fused with self-analysis as a counsellor. This book has taken over ten years to write and will be released in early 2022. In the meantime, you have this e-book to whet your appetite!

The external demands and expectations can be tremendously challenging for the artist, thus placing enormous pressure on the budding star. Usually, the slippery slide shows up with possibilities of mental health declination, leaving the artist affected.
There are many stories of famous artists such as Michael Jackson and Judy Garland who tolerated horrific encounters in their lives, both personally and professionally. These people, and let's not forget they were real people, held the heavy strains of the industry and personal lives, whilst giving their best performances to the public. These artists did not make their sufferings public knowledge until time had elapsed, and real issues behind the facade of a happy face suddenly made an appearance.
The road of music is a road of music and business. The prospects of fame and fortune can become such an
