THE RETURN OF MEASLES
Silvia Rosetti lives in Rome. In 2017 she was 32 weeks pregnant. She had a smooth pregnancy until she got sick. The symptoms developed quickly. Rosetti had a fever and a cough. She was congested. She could not breathe. She needed to go to the hospital.
When she arrived, the doctors told her she had measles. She was never vaccinated as a child. This meant she did not receive the measles vaccine. The doctors performed a surgery to deliver her son eight weeks early. Doctors isolated Rosetti and her son away from each
