Awaken Your Intuition - Benoit Fabreguettes
Introduction
Intuition is a very powerful thing,
more powerful than intellect.
—Steve Jobs, American entrepreneur
Intuition is a formidable tool that can be used to explore who we are and what we want, and subsequently, understand our life’s mission. It is an innate form of knowledge that helps us delve into different themes and topics without the need to reach for an encyclopedia.
Intuition can be applied to every aspect of our lives. It may be used to seek information and facilitate the decision-making process, to understand past experiences better, or to peek into the future. It also can foster creativity and innovation. Many famous inventors and scientists such as Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, and Marie Curie have attributed their success directly to intuition.
Have you ever used expressions such as a little voice tells me,
I feel it in my bones,
or I just have a gut feeling
? These idioms reflect innate intuitive abilities that we all share as humans. We will see that it is possible to exploit this natural ability to come up with new ideas, get better hindsight, make wiser decisions, and become more intuitive about the intentions and needs of other people, whether in the personal or the professional sphere.
Every day, we use our analytical mind to solve problems, using a very rational or logical thought process. When faced with tough decisions, issues, or dilemmas that may require a flash of insight or a leap of faith, an instinctive or intuitive approach oftentimes leads to a more favorable outcome. This is common with sports competitions such as Formula 1 racing.
Awaken Your Intuition will show you how intuition—that natural, innate ability of all humans—can be harnessed and developed with dedicated practice. We expect some readers to be skeptical about the power of intuition and the remote viewing technique covered within these pages. However, achieving good results with a nonbeliever mindset will be challenging, so we encourage you to remain open to whatever the possibilities might be.
Are you ready to awaken your hidden intuitive and creative power through remote viewing and live an empowering, meaningful life? Read on to discover a realm of endless opportunities!
PART 1 – Intuition: Concepts, Science, and Techniques
Intuition
What Is Intuition?
Receiving knowledge or information without being able to explain where that knowledge came from is quite common and happens to all of us. We may not be aware of how the information is sourced, but we accept and trust it. This phenomenon is called an intuitive hit
or having a gut feeling.
How many of us have heard stories about people who made last-minute changes to their schedule because they had a negative premonition? According to the International Herald Tribune, on the morning of 9/11, less than half of the usual number of passengers who typically fly for business boarded the four planes that ultimately were hijacked and crashed. No rational explanations were given (e.g., weather, commute, or events) to explain why all four flights had so many unclaimed tickets. For many, gut feeling played a role and gave them insight, leading to a life-saving decision. They followed their intuition.
The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines intuition as the power or faculty of attaining to direct knowledge or cognition without evident rational thought and inference.
But what does it mean?
Intuition is the immediate and sudden knowledge of truth without any reasoning. There is no logical, rational, or analytical process involved.
Intuition does not rely on intellectual activities, which typically use logical connections, past experiences, known facts, or require memory and processing.
Intuition can be considered another sense outside the range of the usual five senses, such as seeing or hearing.
Intuition is a valid form of perception, always correct, but its interpretation may be biased due to intellectual processing.
Intuition triggers emotions associated with intuitive insight. Our five senses show these emotions.
Two Brains
Intuition is a powerful knowledge tool that can provide invaluable solutions to our problems and show the path to exciting new opportunities. Humans are naturally intuitive, and intuition can be learned and developed with time and dedication.
Unfortunately, social, educational, and cultural factors have convinced most people that intuition either does not exist or is unreliable. Our modern education systems cultivate math, science, and other intellectual-heavy topics, leaving little room for nonintellectual pursuits. But the human brain does not operate on an either/or
basis. It has two hemispheres that complement each other while serving distinct yet different purposes. The left part of the brain is the seat of logic. It controls analytical, factual, rational, verbal, and other communication processes. The right side of the brain is responsible for all nonverbal, nonanalytical activities such as dreams, imagination, and intuition. It is thought to be the intuitive receiver of insights. Right-brain activities may feel less accessible since they are underexplored in our daily lives. Because humans are a curious species, always trying to find answers to problems and solve mysteries, we tend to engage the left brain more while ignoring all nonlogical phenomena.
Despite our best efforts to gather all relevant and logical information, a gap still exists. This is where intuition comes to the rescue. We can use the simple example of a painter to help illustrate the concepts of left brain versus right brain. An artist who wishes to paint a beautiful landscape will first use their right brain to draw the rough shapes or general forms observed (e.g., trees, hills, coastline, or horizon). The left brain will help fill in all the details that make the final artwork look more realistic and
