Introduction

EVERY TIME I GO TO bed, and able wake up the next morning, it is all, a glory to God. The mere faith and prayer life of an individual is to experience the essence of the Living God in anyway and anyhow. God speak not only once or twice, but at all times. In most of our lives, most of the time, we are taught the art of praying—but not the art of listening before the presence of God. That’s why some of you only taste only the fraction of the holy spirit not the fullness.

As I write this message to you, I have spent almost 2 years battling with the spirit of death. The devil wants to destroy my life as much as he wants to destroy yours too. We are in these boat together.  I would wake up in the middle of the night feeling chocked and strangled sometimes. There are times were I felt death, but by the grace of the Living God my spirit at all-time revived from eternal corruption. I have to stress this, that, most of death occurring at this rapid speed, God is not in it. It has become a parable, or saying, that when calamity hit, or anything of some sort, it is the will of God. God is not the author of the darkness—it is only light that emanates from Him. Light and darkness cannot be friends.

This is the end time seasons where only faith and prayer life matters. When we can break the wall between discerning the voice of God and our own voice, we will be on our way to boldness in the things of God. You will be making the biggest mistake prophesying if you are unable to hear the voice of God correctly. This tend to leave an inching mark of the wound in the life of believers—holding on prophecies that never materialise due to negligence.

Tune your ear, master the master’s voice and speak the very God’s own words to people. It is only the voice of the living God that matters in the prophetic. You represent the government of God as a prophet. The army of the Lord is behind you in every way, Man of God.

The main reason why I am writing this book is because I have noticed that majority of people profess to be prophet but not fully aware of functions and activates of a prophet in the society, or rather, in church. This is the end times of the outpouring of the holy spirit where all people from all nation shall prophesy and experience the glory of the Living of God. All can prophesy, but not all can stand in the office of the prophet. The new testament believers like Paul and Barnabas stood in more than one office. Paul was an apostle and prophet.

If God can trust you with an office, He will grow you and have you influence His body to the fullest. All you have to do is to work on your character. Building yourself up in your most holy faith. This is what the sages of old stressed. Holiness and right standing with God create an atmosphere of security and blessing in the lives of people God has entrusted you with.

Jude 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

The purpose for the origin of the prophetic office, according to Freeman, was for guarding Israel against Canaan's superstitious practices, as well as those of her neighbors .... Because of this, Moses announced the forming of the prophetic office for the purpose of continuing the divine revelation through the line of prophets. The judges of Israel come from this line of formation such as Samuel, Gad and Nathan. Samuel continued with the same duty by having the school of prophets in place. You will also recall the prophetic school of Prophet Elijah.

In this prophetic office, you stand as an ambassador of the revealer of God’s word, preacher of God’s message, intercessor, as priest to God’s people, prayer warrior, Judge, counsellor and as advisors of kings, queens and presidents of the nations. In a nutshell, you are just a vessel, the mouthpiece of God to utter the mind and will of God in people’s lives.

The Office of a Prophet is one of the five-fold ministries. This ministry is an absolute essential part of the body of Christ. The Bible text records many religious and heathen people who have not always been enthralled with the idea of following the teachings of those who minister the Word of God with an obvious prophetic anointing. Jeremiah was constantly persecuted; John the Baptist lost his head. Even today Prophets continue to be somewhat misunderstood.

Every five-fold ministry comes with its activities and operation. It is the responsibility of every called or chosen men and women of God to fully function to edify the body of Christ. Gift are for the gifting of the body. Prophecy is for encouraging. However, office of the prophetic has more in store to say. This is the prophetic authority.
