INTRODUCTION
What could be wrong with me? It can't be what I am thinking.
For the past two weeks, I have been experiencing all the signs of pregnancy, dizziness, tender and painful breasts, nausea, and vomiting. But I brushed it aside saying it can't be pregnancy as I just finished my menstrual period just 3 days ago.
But as I sat on my toilet seat, staring at the positive pregnancy test strip I was holding, I could do nothing but bursted out in tears.
How could this happen?? We have been very careful and taken all necessary precautions.
Could this be another contraceptive failure??
My mind went back to 4 years ago when I got pregnant while on an intrauterine contraceptive device (IUD). This made me know that while on contraceptives you can get pregnant and still be menstruating.
My husband and I had said goodbye to childbearing after three kids and we had decided on family planning when this pregnancy came.
