INTRODUCTION
Speaking and understanding a different language is one of the most beautiful and satisfying things in life. My interest in languages arose when I was nine years old; back then when we had pen-pals in another Country, and internet was still pretty far away from us: when we wrote by snail mail and a dictionary by our side to look for every single word that we wrote.
After I learnt my second language and traveled to different Countries, I met many people who wanted to learn Spanish. Reasons varied from those who wanted to learn it for pleasure, those who said that its sound is sweet, and those who needed it for their job. Listening to all those people gave me the energy to teach every day, which I find to be a pleasure instead of a job.
After teaching for years, I realized that people were afraid of learning, even though they wanted to learn the language. If you are one of those who wants to, but does not have the courage. Let me tell you that Spanish is a very beautiful language full of magic and richness and it’s not difficult where you don’t have to be afraid to learn it. Let me show you the way to make Spanish easy and enjoyable!
This book will help you lose the fear, and at the same time enjoy an unforgettable journey. The course that I offer in this book is divided into concepts, grammar, pronunciation and comparing differences between English and Spanish. With short but clear explanations, only few lessons to learn and the most important clues that people need for speaking Spanish.
LECCIÓN NÚMERO 1
In order to verbally communicate in Spanish (or any other language, for that matter..!) Proper pronunciation is a key item.
Spanish pronunciation is rather easy and enjoyable to listen to mainly because:
• It is very consistent
• It follows the principle of: what you see is what you say
The Spanish alphabet is similar to the English alphabet, except with one extra letter. Plus, the letters are pronounced differently in Spanish.
