Conclusion
Introduction
Welcome to our Driving Theory Test Practise Questions book. We created this guide so that you could practise all of the types of questions you’ll find on your theory test, to give you the best chance of passing first-time. Before we even begin, give yourself a pat on the back for deciding to invest in yourself & study - most people don’t even make it this far!
This book is very simply laid out. We’ll start with the questions, broken down into 14 sections (for example, attitude questions are separated from vehicle handling questions). Following this, in the second half of the book, we’ll review the answers, which have been highlighted in green. Again, the answers are separated into the same 14 sections. The best and most efficient way to use this book, is to write down your answers on a separate piece of paper, and then check your answers once you’ve finished. Depending on how soon your theory test is, you might need to study these questions at different speeds. If your test is a long way away, you could just practise one chapter per day, for example. On the other hand, if your test is soon, you may need to aim for completing multiple chapters or sections per day. We also recommend utilising other study methods to improve your knowledge - for example, there are many driving theory test practise apps on the App Store. This way, you’ll feel confident that you’ve done everything you can before you take your theory test.
To pass the driving theory test in the UK, you’ll need to score a minimum of 86%, meaning you’ll need to get 43 out of 50 questions correct on the day. After studying with our book, passing first-time is easily attainable and our readers historically have a 94% pass rate.
To book your test, go to: https://www.gov.uk/book-theory-test. The test costs £23 for car drivers, and you can take it once you turn 17 years old. To book your test online, you’ll need an email address, your driving licence number & and a credit or debit card. After passing your driving theory test, you have up to 2 years in order to take your practical test - after which you’ll have to retake the theory test if you don’t pass the practical test within the 2 year window.
If you do fail your test, you’ll only have to wait 3 working days in order to book your test again.
If you find our book useful, we’d appreciate a 5* review on Amazon or wherever you purchased the book from.
With that, let’s get to the practice questions and answers!
