IN THE AIR AND BEYOND
There is nothing like a good roof stomp
to welcome a new Air Force commander. Airmen make a lot of noise when a new commander arrives on base. They stomp on the roof and rattle the windows and doors. This tradition is all in good fun.
While the Air Force may have its fun side, it is all business when it comes to combat and military duty. The Air Force works to protect the United States and its citizens. The mission of the U.S. Air Force is to "fly, fight, and win in air, space, and cyberspace."
Air Force pilots, or aviators, fly some of the fastest and most advanced aircraft in the military. They train for years to earn their wings.
