I aim to clearly explain the purpose and essence behind the creation of this book. I deeply value the complexities and wisdom found within the human body and mind. My background, which includes certifications in Personal Training, Barre Fitness, Reiki, Sound healing through biofield tuning, and over a decade of experience in teaching fitness, gives me a unique perspective into the world of health and wellness.
For many years, my advice to my clients has revolved around mindfulness as an important guide for making choices concerning their fitness and health routines. I want to emphasize that by mindfulness, I do not necessarily mean meditation. Instead, I am talking about mindfulness in the context of being attuned to one's physical and emotional state and using this awareness to tailor the type, intensity, and duration of workouts. Such an approach goes beyond the mere habit of following a routine; it involves listening to our bodies and recognizing signs of stress or depletion. This approach has had a transformative impact on countless individuals, especially those who have previously been driven by habit at the expense of their well-being.
My own journey took a profound turn when I discovered Human Design. I was immediately captivated by how Human Design offered specific tools and strategies for achieving what I had been advocating through mindfulness but on a much deeper and more practical level. It was as if all the pieces of the wellness puzzle were coming together. Human Design provided additional insight and clarity into concepts that I had been talking about for years. I was in awe.
I committed to a two-year experiment to embody the practices of Human Design, and this led me to undertake training to become a Human Design coach. My voyage through Human Design has been illuminating, and it's with great enthusiasm that I attempt to share these insights.
I want you, the reader, to understand that this book is a combination of my knowledge of health, fitness, wellness, and the profound wisdom of Human Design. By combining these two paradigms, I hope to offer a useful resource that highlights the importance of tuning into one’s inner guidance system. I firmly believe that by listening to our internal signs, we can achieve a new level of health and wellness. This is my humble offering to assist you on your journey to becoming the best version of yourself.
It’s important to mention that the content of this book reflects how Human Design speaks to me personally, and it is my interpretation of how this system can be applied to health and wellness. While I provide my own perspective, it is important to clarify that some of the specific concepts relating Human Design to physical fitness and health are not found in the original Human Design source materials.
I envision this book resonating with individuals who have a foundational grasp of Human Design, particularly those who already apply its basic principles, strategies, and authorities in their lives. This book is meant to build upon that foundation, to enhance not only your knowledge of Human Design but, more importantly, your vitality and well-being.
The information provided in this book is a culmination of the principles of Human Design as presented by its founder, Ra Uru Hu. Furthermore, I spent a year deeply immersed in pursuing my Human Design coaching certification. I also learned so much from reading countless books and absorbing insights through podcasts on Human Design. Additionally, my experience spanning over a decade as a personal trainer, Barre instructor and holding multiple certifications in diverse wellness modalities form the foundation of this book's content.
In this book, I'll recap some of the fundamental principles of Human Design as a quick refresher. However, it's important to note that this book is primarily crafted for those who already have a basic understanding of their personal Human Design. I'll certainly offer advice and suggestions on how to integrate Human Design into your wellness routine. Yet, it's critical to always prioritize your unique strategy and authority above all else.
This book is an intertwining of my expertise in health and wellness with the profound principles of Human Design. Tailored for those passionate about their wellness journey, I hope it equips you with tools for a life of balance, authenticity, and fulfillment.

Written in the Stars:
My life theme, according to Human Design, is to emphasize the importance of good health as the foundation for true happiness and joy. As a 5/1 Generator, the melding of my expertise in Human Design and fitness isn't just a professional endeavor; it resonates deeply within me, energizing my spirit.
Throughout the process of writing this book, I found myself effortlessly immersed, guided by my Sacral authority, which is anchored in following the path of joy. This journey has not only been enlightening but has flowed with a profound sense of innate alignment. It feels as if it was written in the stars, a message passed through the neutrinos—the subatomic particles often referred to as the 'breath of stars'—into my existence.
As I dove deeper into my Human Design, it's evident that writing this book aligns seamlessly with my core essence. My life theme reiterates that good health is paramount for true happiness and joy—a modern reminder of the age-old truth that without health, we truly have nothing.
I was internally compelled to write this book because it aligns with my life’s theme according to Human Design: my Incarnation Cross of the Left Angle of Healing. This theme has been a consistent thread throughout my life. But it was only after my introduction to Human Design that I became consciously aware of this deep-seated truth: my fulfillment and happiness are irrevocably linked to my physical well-being. This realization—that my lifelong passion for health wasn't mere fascination or vanity, but a fundamental aspect of who I am—offered immense relief and liberated me from internal conflicts, allowing me to wholly embrace my purpose.
There's profound alignment between this message and my life theme. From my understanding, my theme suggests that straying from this path might lead to a health event to jolt me back to my life's true course. At 36, a pivotal moment came when I suffered a stroke. This incident temporarily paralyzed me, forever altering the life I knew. The act of surviving this stroke ignited an unwavering passion within me to advocate for the vital importance of health. The universe seemed to have shaken me, bringing me face-to-face with the core of my life theme.
Following this life-altering event, I championed the cause of promoting awareness about strokes and heart health, becoming a spokesperson for the American Heart and Stroke Association. I even initiated a bill specifically targeting the prevention of strokes in women. This journey stands as a testament to how life can sometimes redirect us towards our genuine calling.
In hindsight, that life-changing event was a poignant reminder, realigning me with my Human Design theme. It felt like a recalibration of my life course, positioning me more authentically with my true calling. With this book, I aim to convey this renewed sense of purpose, pairing it with the wisdom of Human Design to support others on their holistic health journeys.
I hope my story inspires you, emphasizing the importance of staying aligned with our genuine paths. Join me in embracing our unique blueprints and tapping into the transformative power of holistic health and wellness.
