Just Another Day At The Office

It's time for a Focusverse Pomodoro session—a fancy name for a 90-minute meeting broken into 25-minute work sprints that help me lean in and get stuff done. I glanced at my watch. It’s almost 8 a.m., and I’m going to be late! I grabbed my coffee mug and headed back to my office.

Is my computer booted up? Check. Logged into Scrivener? Yup. Productivity tracker up and ready to go? Absolutely!

Time to double-check my calendar. Looks like this week’s Focusverse is being held in a different collaboration room than last week and a few new folks will be joining us.

I’m late. Time to go!

I found a seat just as Jeff, today’s event leader, started walking new participants through what to expect. There’s a quick roundtable where everyone shares what they’ll be working on in the first sprint. The timer sounds and it’s time to get to work!

Just another day at the office, right? Sort of. Let's rewind and take a closer look at what the Focusverse Pomodoro session looks like when it’s held inside virtual reality.

In addition to checking that my computer is ready to go, I pause to make sure that the Immersed agent software has given me the thumbs-up. Nothing like a software update to slow you down when you’re on a deadline.

After that, I grab my Quest 3 headset and controllers, boot up my headset, and launch the Immersed app. Then, it’s time to settle into my chair and watch my virtual screens load.

I don’t have to worry about where the meeting is being held. I just click on the link in the event's invite in Immersed's Discord and the app moves me to the right room. All I have to do is
