    Bio

Myrdeline Raymond was born in Haiti in the 1980s and moved to Brooklyn, New York, at the age of 8. Adjusting to her new life was challenging, as she struggled to make friends and enjoy the typical experiences of childhood due to the language barrier—she didn't speak English. The move to the United States also meant leaving behind her beloved grandmother, who had been a significant influence in her early years, teaching her many valuable lessons. Despite the difficulties, Myrdeline was determined to learn English, employing various techniques to overcome the language barrier. At that time, resources like social media and online tutorials were not as readily available, making her journey even more challenging, yet she persevered and succeeded. A few years later, Myrdeline received devastating news: she had lost the love of her life, her beloved grandmother. This loss filled her with anger and sadness, and she couldn’t help but question whether her grandmother had received compassionate, loving care during her final days. Determined to honor her grandmother's memory, Myrdeline channeled her pain into learning and striving for success. She remembered her grandmother’s words, reminding her that she was her greatest obstacle and that there was nothing she couldn't achieve if she set her mind to it. Motivated by this, Myrdeline dedicated herself to mastering English, using every tactic and skill she had acquired. Within a year, she was fluent. At 15, she moved to Massachusetts to continue her education. In high school, she not only excelled in English classes but also became actively involved in extracurricular activities, joining the cheerleading squad, volleyball club, and JROTC, where she rose to the rank of Sergeant and served as a female color guard. At 17, Myrdeline became a nursing assistant, the youngest in her class. She quickly fell in love with nursing, particularly hospice care, where she gained invaluable experience working with terminally ill patients. The care her grandmother received before her passing remained a driving force behind her dedication to providing compassionate and dignified care to others. The care her grandmother received before her passing never left Myrdeline's mind serves as a constant source of motivation throughout her life. After graduating from Brockton High School, she pursued higher education at Stonehill College, where she majored in English and earned her associate degree. To further solidify her career goals, she also took additional courses at Massasoit Community College. Driven by her passion for helping others, Myrdeline then entered Nursing School, where she worked diligently and eventually attained her bachelor’s degree in science. Beyond her academic achievements, Myrdeline has a rich array of hobbies, including playing the drums, dancing, and working out at the gym. She has also turned her personal experiences into a mission to help others. Myrdeline runs an online ESL (English as a Second Language) class, where she teaches newcomers how to speak English.
