INTRODUCTION
Salvation—the great promise that captivates our hearts. In the depths of Scripture, we discover the unfolding of God's redemptive plan for humanity. We read with wonder of Christ's sacrifice that tore the veil between us and paved the way for new life. The old passed away; the new has come.
The words of Acts 4:12 echo through the corridors of time: There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved.
Jesus alone holds the keys to redemption.
He alone can rescue us from the entanglements of sin and darkness.
As II Corinthians 5 unpacks, we glimpse the magnitude of God's love: God made Him who knew no sin to become sin on our behalf so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.
Though perfect in every way, Jesus willingly bore our sins upon Himself, exchanging them for His righteousness. By grace we are saved, transformed, born again into new creations. The penalty of sin dissolved; our status changed forever.
