Values to Victor - Paulaiah
Importance
Being unjust may seem to be prosperous but they have no hope, whereas being with integrity gives the greatest hope. Being unjust may not make a difference in the possession or the privileges that are entertained, but being with integrity helps to judge ourselves aright that soothes the heart and mind. When judged aright the unjust will be punished and the person with integrity will be rewarded. The person with integrity will even be called to be a judge of others. A person with Integrity will become a good leader to others. A person with Integrity receives forgiveness and reconciliation. Being with integrity also helps us not to afflict or exploit those who are upright, and integrity never allows a person to misuse power and authority.
Circumstances in which it is used
A person should be with integrity when there is someone or there is no one, when there is a reward or there is persecution, when there is peace or there is violence, when there are riches or there is poverty, and when there is goodness or there is evil. In brief, the integrity should be a necessity rather than a value.
Factors affecting
Tribulation and Poverty could be a factor for not being with integrity. Being with Integrity could also cause Tribulation and Poverty. Laziness and being disorganized could also lead to lack of Integrity.
Implications
The integrity in the heart will surely prevent a person from doing wrong, though the things around him are manipulated and give space for him to attempt something. Integrity will surely please those who are right. Integrity should be held fast unto death, to protect our character and goodness in front of everyone, though others may condemn, criticize, and corner because of the challenges and difficulties to face. The integrity of the upright shall guide that person.
Story/ Case Study
The wisest man told his disciples "There was a rich man who had a manager, and charges were brought to him that this man was wasting his possessions. And he called him and said to him, ‘What is this that I hear about you? Turn in the account of your management, for you can no longer be a manager.’ And the manager said to himself, ‘What shall I do since my master is taking the management away from me? I am not strong enough to dig, and I am ashamed to beg. I have decided what to do, so that when I am removed from management, people may receive me into their houses.’ So, summoning his master's debtors one by one, he said to the first, ‘How much do you owe my master?’ He said, ‘A hundred measures of oil.’ He said to him, ‘Take your bill, and sit down quickly and write fifty.’ Then he said to another, ‘And how much do you owe?’ He said, ‘A hundred measures of wheat.’ He said to him, ‘Take your bill, and write eighty.’ The master commended the dishonest manager for his shrewdness. For the sons of this world are shrewder in dealing with their
