Quantum Leap to You - TY

    Synopsis

Have you heard of quantum physics? Do you find it a very complex and inaccessible field? Have you heard or read that quantum physics explains or demonstrates many spiritual concepts? Or that the law of attraction is quantum physics?

Quantum physics yields conclusions that are as surprising as they are disconcerting. Furthermore, beyond its domain, it has led to important philosophical consequences, closely aligned with spiritual knowledge, which has been known long before the existence of science. This is a truly fascinating field, which, when treated correctly and avoiding the trap of false science, inspires a rapprochement between science and spirituality.

What's truly interesting is that the knowledge of quantum physics is fascinating and revealing, even when viewed at a general level, and even more so at a philosophical level. Furthermore, it inspires important tools for our personal growth. Therefore, the most astonishing conclusions of quantum physics can be learned without needing to be an expert in physics, mathematics, or any other specialized knowledge. This knowledge has enormous transformative potential and will allow us to change our approach, significantly shifting our lives and resulting in positive progress in our personal growth.

This is not a pseudoscience book. Nor is it a quantum physics book in the purest sense (there are no formulas, math, etc.). This work brings quantum physics and personal growth together, but each on its own plate. You will learn about the most amazing concepts derived from quantum physics in a clear and accessible way for every reader, without the need for any specialized knowledge, and far removed from false science.

And most importantly, you'll take a significant turn in your life by learning how the astonishing concepts of the quantum world can be applied to your personal growth in the form of simple yet powerful tools, giving you a new and positive perspective on your own reality.

Are you ready to experience a quantum leap in your life toward success and happiness?

    Chapter I Introduction

I offer you the warmest welcome. Through this book, you are about to embark on a journey of inner transformation. A unique and astonishing journey, both positive and transformative. It is very likely to illumine your life's journey. It is also likely to lead you to a significant shift in your outlook on life. It will also offer you new perspectives you may not have considered before.

Therefore, the main objective of this work is to guide you toward a significant change in your approach to reality. A change of approach that will lead to significant personal growth. And even if you already have prior knowledge in the fields of quantum physics and personal growth, you will gain new and more precise—as well as practical and useful—information to continue walking on a wonderful path of personal growth.

Now, I suppose you're wondering why you need to adopt a paradigm shift... And you're absolutely right to wonder, because a paradigm shift takes some time and effort. I invite you to see this more clearly in the following sections.

    The purpose of this work

The main purpose of the work you are holding is common to the vast majority of the works I've written. It is to serve as a tool capable of helping you achieve a higher level of success and a greater connection with happiness.

I find the approach to this goal truly fascinating, and in some ways, it's in line with what I presented in another of my books, titled Personal Self-Design. In that work, I presented the mindset of an engineer in high-tech projects and how what I'd learned could be transformed into practical tools for personal growth. And all of this is done in language accessible to all readers, without the need for specialized knowledge.

This work pursues a dual objective similar to that described above. On the one hand, you will learn about a fascinating and truly astonishing field, one that has been gifted to us by the work of a number of brilliant minds since the beginning of the 20th century: quantum physics.

On the other hand, you will learn important knowledge and tools for personal growth, which will lead you toward a significant change in focus, which in turn will lead to a significant positive transformation in your life, toward success and happiness.

Do I have to be a physics expert to understand this book?

Not at all. Don't worry, since you're not holding a quantum physics textbook written for physicists, nor are you looking to delve into the complex mathematical domains necessary to explain the subject in depth. You're holding a self-help book, which contains overtones of popular science but, above all, focuses on personal growth.

This is a book aimed at a general audience, which can be fully utilized without any specialized knowledge. And, of course, you don't need to be a physics expert.

Of course, quantum physics is a complex field, provided we attempt to study it in depth, as a physicist does. In that case, it would be necessary to begin speaking in terms of a rigorous mathematical formulation, delving into complex topics such as Hilbert spaces, the Schrödinger equation, and so on.

But, in this work, do not expect complex formulas, mathematics, or the use of scientific language that is impossible to understand.

Of course, as I indicated in the previous section, what you are about to learn is truly astonishing and even confusing in and of itself. And it is even so even if you express it without mathematical formulas, and with an effort to use words that are as tangible and clear as possible. But that is precisely the usefulness of this book. This state of confusion will serve as a tool to achieve a paradigm shift, a radical shift in the way you approach your life and everything that happens to you. And with it, you will achieve remarkable positive personal growth.

What you'll find in the following chapters will provide you with a very comprehensive general knowledge of quantum physics, at a popular level. But above all, what you'll learn will invite you to reflect and philosophize. And let me emphasize the most important thing once again: you'll learn important tools for personal growth from all of this. Ultimately, the main goal is to provide you with tools to connect with success and happiness.

    Don't mix apples with pears

Quantum physics is one thing, and personal growth is another. Undoubtedly, the concepts of quantum physics can be applied to the realm of our personal growth, and you will learn that through this work. But from there to saying that personal growth or spirituality is the same as quantum physics, there is an important difference. Perhaps you find the above completely obvious, for which I apologize, but it needed to be said... And I have to do it, because I have read, heard, and seen quite a few materials on the subject where the above is suggested...

As they say, it's not a good idea to mix pears and apples. If you make a juice from pears and apples, the result will be delicious, but it won't be easy to separate the taste of the pears from that of the apples. The flavors mix, and therefore blur together. On the other hand, what we can do is chop up the pears and apples and put them together on a plate, creating a delicious fruit salad. The pears and apples are then in the same container, but not mixed, allowing you to easily distinguish what each is. If you take a piece of pear, you'll never mistake it for an apple, and vice versa.

Let's do something similar with the topics covered in this book. Making a juice of quantum physics and personal growth isn't a very good idea. Unfortunately, there are texts that do something like this... More than I'd like to admit. The flavor of quantum physics is easily confused with that of personal growth, and sometimes it leads to confusing results. You take something from here, something from there, mix it up, and you get something with a lot of truth and also a lot of falsehood, which, ultimately, is not correct. This dangerous mix leads to results that border on—or fall squarely into—pseudoscience or false science. I'm not saying that such books don't work. I'm just saying that some teach things about quantum physics that aren't scientifically true.

Instead of making a juice, let's make a fruit salad, putting bits of quantum physics and personal growth in the same container. The result is much better and certainly doesn't lead to misinterpretations. The bits of quantum physics and personal growth are clearly distinguishable, without any confusion, and can be savored separately. You can also appreciate the benefits of one type of bit and apply them to the other. And when you savor the mixture of both types of bits, you know exactly what you're mixing, without confusion. Although the two flavors aren't mixed, because the bits are together in the same container, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

This last point summarizes what is covered in this work, and how it is covered. Although you won't be holding a textbook on quantum physics like the ones studied at universities, you will nevertheless acquire a very comprehensive general understanding of quantum physics. And, furthermore, you will learn how to apply this knowledge to your personal growth, creating a significant paradigm shift. But, of course, without pseudoscience... Without mixing apples and oranges...

    Confusion and learning

The approach taken in this work begins by explaining a series of important concepts of quantum physics, always from a superficial, introductory perspective. They are written so that they can be understood without the need for prior specialized knowledge. However, you will appreciate that—even explained in this way—the concepts derived from quantum physics are so astonishing that they cause great confusion until we manage to assimilate them.

This confusion isn't negative. Learning includes confusion. When we feel confused when learning something new, it's actually a positive thing: it's a sign that we're learning. The confusion caused by the concepts of quantum physics is equally positive. It opens the door to an important change in approach, which leads to significant personal growth.

When we explore the macroscopic world—in other words, the world of large objects that surrounds us in our everyday lives—through classical physics, everything seemed predictable, using deterministic formulas. For example, we can describe the trajectory of an object (be it a stone thrown by a person, a planet, a comet, etc.) using formulas. We can even predict where it will later be, thanks to those formulas. When we study the microscopic world, where the smallest things reside, physics got a surprise. It found that the deterministic formulas of classical physics weren't applicable. They stopped working. There, it came across a series of truly astonishing conclusions. Everything there is chaotic, discontinuous, and unpredictable, and things happen that baffled scientists... Without a doubt, an incredible paradigm shift in science was imminent.

Physics came across astonishing scientific conclusions there, by observing the smallest things. But not only that: these opened the door to philosophical conclusions of great significance, which

They were in line with metaphysical themes, which had been talked about for millennia.

To give you an example, classical physics insisted on seeing us as observers of the universe, completely separate from it and without intervening in any way. We were considered perfect observers, at the center of everything, observing the universe around us. This was, obviously, a self-centered view. But quantum physics taught us a lesson in humility, demonstrating—among other things—that we are not independent and separate observers of the universe, but rather an integral part of that whole. There are no separations. And the act of observing alters the results considerably. We have reached the point where we cannot state anything with precision when making measurements. For example, we cannot know the trajectory of a particle. When we measure, we alter the trajectory, so we can only know where the particle is at the moment of measurement, but we have no idea where it was before, nor where it will be afterward. We cannot predict anything, nor even remember anything. We only know what we find when we measure, and in reality, we have conditioned it by the mere act of measuring. We don't know what happened or what will happen; we only know the present, and without precision... Isn't that amazing? And, at the same time, isn't it disconcerting?

Of course, quantum physics creates confusion, as you'll see throughout this book. Consider it one of the most important learning tools. I recommend you make every effort to be aware of your own confusion and view it as a motivating sign that learning is underway.

Looking outward and inward: two essential parts of the truth

Science has always looked outward, considering the observer and the observed as different and quite separate things. In fact, the observer was something separate from the rest of the universe. The method of science has been and is very useful for observing what surrounds us, for looking outward. I am not of the opinion that punishes or condemns science, far from it—how could I, given that I have dedicated and continue to dedicate great efforts in scientific and technical fields? It is an extremely useful and necessary domain of knowledge, to which we owe much. And in its applied aspect, it has changed our lives, providing solutions that are essential to us in developed societies, as they provide us with comfort and security, as well as solving important problems and facilitating solutions. Of course, some of these solutions have also caused problems for people, the planet, etc. But that is inevitable, and it does not invalidate the previous statement. Of course, any scientific discovery or engineering work, if taken to extremes, can turn against us. But that does not mean that science and engineering are bad. Their proper use provides good solutions, solves problems, brings people together, prevents disasters, and, in general, does us good. Unfortunately, there are negative uses of science and engineering, but fortunately, there are just as many, if not more, positive ones, to which we owe a great deal. Therefore, my opinion of science and engineering could not be anything but positive.

Now, what I don't believe at all is that science can prove everything through its method. To gain a complete view of the universe, it's not enough to look outside; you also need to look inside. And the truly astonishing thing is that, when you look inside, you ultimately discover that there is no difference between the inner and outer worlds... What we find inside cannot be obtained through the scientific method, as you will understand later in this book.

When we look inward, there comes a point at which science must stop. The scientific method cannot help us understand our inner world, since it requires experiencing reality without separations, without subject and object—something that is essential for such a method.

The scientific method allows us to acquire important knowledge in a rigorous and highly credible manner. It allows us to acquire a great deal of knowledge. But it doesn't allow us to know the entire truth of the universe. That truth cannot be known; it isn't an accumulation of information that can be expressed on paper. That truth can only be experienced. And to experience it, it is necessary to break the duality between subject and object, something that the scientific method requires.

Fortunately, important contributions to studying what lies within us originated in India millennia ago. We can, without a doubt, say that the technology necessary to look within has existed for thousands of years, and it's called meditation.

When quantum physics began to address the microscopic world, it found results that are in line with what one experiences when looking inward—or, at least, are compatible on a philosophical level. These results are explained mathematically, reasoned, but the conclusions are truly astonishing and even confusing, and at times seem to defy reason. Somehow, there seems to be an approach to that knowledge that surpasses the limits of reason, and that is also part of the truth. Don't forget that truth is not only composed of what can be observed. It is also composed of everything that cannot be reasoned or observed through objective measurements. Apparently, by observing the smallest, science seems to have encountered—or at least approached—that limit.

When you look inward, reason can no longer do everything... In the context of Zen Buddhism, when consulting a teacher, the student often leaves more confused than when they arrived, and that is precisely the key. The confusion in this case arises from trying to reason and logically arrive at something that cannot be reached that way. The attempts are in vain. However, the teacher's response induces a state of confusion that does not provide a rational answer—since none exists—but nevertheless constitutes a tool to help the student reach an understanding of the truth through their own experience.

Quantum physics can't go that far, because we are in the realm of science. A mathematical formulation was invented that allows us to work with quantum phenomena. But despite this, when we take that mathematics and put it into words, we find ourselves with disconcerting conclusions. We try to reason it out, and it still seems astonishing and confusing... Could it be that we are entering into realms that approach spirituality? Could it be that by observing the world of subatomic particles, we are finding conclusions that agree with what has already been experienced through other methods—in particular, as I said before, looking inward through meditation—for millennia? It's possible that this is not the case, and at the same time, it's perfectly possible that it is. And my opinion is that it is.

Therefore, I find it reasonable to think that the conclusions derived from quantum physics can inspire important tools for personal growth. These tools will complement the outward gaze typical of science with an inward observation. In this way, you will gain a much more complete view of reality. You will be much closer to the truth.

To create a visual image, I invite you to imagine quantum physics as an extremely powerful microscope, through which you look outward, capable of studying the smallest details. You find astonishing conclusions that invite you to transcend the realms of science. But quantum physics, being science, cannot go that step
