Classic White Bread
Ingredients:
● 3 1/4 cups (410g) all-purpose flour
● 2 tbsp sugar
● 2 tsp salt
● 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
● 1 1/4 cups (300ml) warm water
● 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
2. Add warm water and butter, then stir until the dough comes together.
3. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place
for 1-2 hours or until doubled in size.
5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough, shape it into a loaf, and place it
in a greased 9x5-inch loaf pan.
6. Let rise for 30-45 minutes.
7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool before slicing.
