I've often used these activities to pair up conflicting team members, allowing them to work through issues together. These exercises encourage team members to express their thoughts and feelings openly while actively listening to one another, encouraging mutual respect. When sensitive discussions arise, a neutral third-party facilitator is very helpful as this facilitator can guide the conversation, mediate conflicts, and ensure everyone has a chance to speak, which helps manage sensitive topics more effectively. By creating a safe, respectful environment, you enable the team to work around challenging conversations and strengthen their collaboration.
