When teaching juniors about coding style, one of my tools is the peer code review for commits. If the code functions and meets requirements it can be passed, but if there are stylistic changes that should be made, often I will pass the code and then ask the coder to review language texts and style documents and suggest to ME ways to bring the code inline. Then when we've talked about those ways, the next task can be implementing the changes and re-commiting.
