I have used the low-code tools Power Apps and Power Automate to create a better experience with my training students. Each week I send them follow up emails and links to upcoming meetings. I used to do this manually every week and it was quite a chore. Taking almost an hour to get the list of students and all of the content. Not to mention, the manual solution it wasn't possible to send them a meeting invite without exposing their info. Then I built myself an app. I have an app where I enter my message for the week and I set the date/time of the next meeting. Then I hit send. My flow (Power Automate) then uses and API to get the list of students, loops through the list, and sends each an invite to our Teams meeting. 5 min and I am done.

I am a great proponent of shareable, visually appealing collaboration platforms and to be honest I always used Mind Manager to work through items but with the development of Miro and it's multi faced capabilities ranging from Mindmaps to Process diagrams from text to picture to videos I have to say it is now my number one tool to work with the customer

Listen for personal notes that would be appropriate to follow-up on, like their hobbies, interests, etc. Put a reminder on your calendar to reach out to them and check in on something that you know they are passionate about or something relevant to their interests. It takes time and being intentional, and it's not always about business!

If you trust the client, and set appropriate boundaries, Slack can be great. Establish an understanding that it can enable rapid feedback, but that it’s also acceptable to not receive an instant reply. Also, that Slack is the place for quick comms that are unsuited to a longer call; and that complex topics need to be broken out into other forms of communication.
