Africa Space Works reposted this
🌍 What an inspiring week at Deep Learning Indaba 2025 in Kigali, Rwanda! ASW was delighted to take part this year, connecting with brilliant researchers, engineers, and innovators from across Africa and beyond, all in line with our mission to accelerate Africa’s integration into the global space industry through innovation and technology. 🚀 During the poster session, we presented our work on methane detection in Africa and received valuable feedback from reviewers and researchers. We also had the opportunity to give a lightning talk at the AfriClimate AI workshop, where the support and insights we received will help us strengthen our vision of leveraging AI and satellite data for climate action. It’s truly inspiring to witness Africa’s AI community growing, collaborating, and shaping solutions for global challenges. 🌍✨ A heartfelt thank you to everyone we met for the engaging discussions and encouragement. We’re excited to continue building the future of space innovation in Africa, hand in hand (Urunana). 🤝 Huge thanks to Sabrina Amrouche, Avishkar Bhoopchand Amal Nammouchi Toufiq Musah Girmaw Abebe Tadesse Aya Salama Aisha Alaagib Rendani Mbuvha for their great support and to Joseph Tuyishimire from Digital Earth Africa for his warm welcoming to our team. And Special thanks to Max Welling for his insightful lecture during Deep Learning Indaba 2025. #DeepLearningIndaba #AI #AfricaAI #Africa #Urunana #Innovation #Community #SpaceTech
