🦜“Where does this endangered bird live?” 🦭“How many seals are being born?” 🐠 “Have salmon numbers declined?” Our updated AI model Perch can help biologists find answers to these questions faster, while looking at more environments and animal populations than ever before. Perch can analyze millions of hours of audio data from our planet, and then help identify species and numbers. This saves conservationists significant time, so they can focus on their work protecting endangered animals and ecosystems – instead of processing data. In order to help conservation efforts, we're releasing this new version of Perch as an open model and making it available on @Kaggle.
