White House unveils AI Action Plan: Pillars and Florida implications

🚨 BREAKING: The White House just dropped its America’s AI Action Plan. The plan is built around 3 pillars: 1. Accelerate AI innovation 2. Build American AI infrastructure 3. Lead in international AI diplomacy & security This isn’t just tech policy—it’s a full-court press to make 🇺🇸 the global AI superpower. 📍And for us in Florida, the implications are massive: • We’re a top destination for data centers, semiconductors, logistics, and defense tech. • Our universities + colleges can tap into federal dollars for AI skilling and research. • Cities and counties can become testbeds for AI deployment—health, permits, education, law enforcement. I know in our South Florida Innovation Ecosystem, we will work with a range of stakeholders maximize the opportunities that will flow from this plan. An important area I didn't see as much detail on is that of AI infrastructure security. While one of the pillars identifies and prioritizes the "secure by design" concept, a lot of the security controls alluded to focus on LLM input and output validation. This is extremely important but It's worth highlighting that all these AI applications and their respective infrastructure need to be secured with a hardened runtime, much like we do for other production applications today.

As much as I don’t believe in government intrusion in private biz. The best developments in tech happened when the gov and private biz worked together. Atomic bomb , the Internet , ect. Tech has taken a trend to consumerism - I think this could revitalize that private public synergy needed to make something great !
