- [Instructor] All right, so in this sub-lesson, which is part three of the comprehensive case, is we want to show you how to start moving away from reliance on calculated columns. So we'll do one simple example here and leave it at that 'cause that's good for level one. And then you can start taking these concepts and using them as you start moving out into the field and building production models. So what I'm going to do here is I'm going to go over to my sales table and click on it, and I'm going to say New measures. So I'm going to build a brand new measure. This measure is going to look a little different, though, so I'm once again creating a measure. I'm just going to paste my code into the window here. And I can see here that I'm building this measure up, which is called Total Sales SUMX. And just a note here is: I would never actually call a measure SUMX; I would leave it as Total Sales, but one of the rules inside of the data model is I can only have a measure name used once.…
