Working with line charts
- [Instructor] One of the most commonly used chart types in Excel is a line chart, and it's generally agreed that a line chart is ideal for showing information over a time period to expose a trend or sometimes the lack of a trend. In this worksheet called line chart in our chapter four file, the purple chart on the left is based on the data we see over in columns A and B. It's from mid 2021 until the end of 2023. Month-by-month, we're tracking sales is quite erratic. It jumps up and down a lot. One option, not so well known is that if you double click the line, the dialogue box that appears to the right includes a number of options, including, if you click that paint bucket, you see all kinds of options about the line.
