How to Configure Do Not Track Policy in MS Edge Browser using M365 Admin Center

Configuring the Do Not Track policy in Microsoft Edge using the Microsoft 365 admin center is a straightforward process that enhances users' control over their online privacy. This policy, designed by Microsoft, allows users to send requests to websites indicating that they do not want their browsing activity to be tracked.

Tracking involves collecting data about users' online activities, such as the pages they visit, links they click, and products they review or purchase. While enabling this policy does not guarantee that all websites will honor the request, it is a beneficial step for organizations aiming to protect user privacy.

The More Details tab provides important information about the Do Not Track feature. Here, you specify whether to send Do Not Track requests to websites that ask for tracking information. By default, Microsoft Edge does not send Do Not Track requests, but users can enable this feature to send them.

Once the policy is configured, sync the device on the Company Portal to complete the deployment. You can then check the monitoring status on the Intune Portal, as the policy platform is Intune.
