Ashes of Love

This poem is about lost love and moving on. Ashes of love flew out from the speaker's heart, falling in circles until disappearing into a pool of tears. This opening of the soul allows the speaker to once again believe in themselves. True love is described as a warm glow that provides comfort in dark times and steadiness on difficult roads, finding reasons to never let go. However, the speaker realizes this love chose the wrong path long ago.

Ashes of love flew out of my heart Falling in circles they lay to rest on a pool of tears that soon disappeared and opened my soul To once again believe in myself True love is never a burning desire More so like a warm glow that gently lights the darkest of nights it holds you steady when the road is old it finds a reason to never let go I just didnt know you chose the wrong road A long, long time ago .
